The position and the actual resort are lovely.
The staff / management is inflexible. We were the only guests staying there, but we were not allowed to move closer to the beach without being charged an astronomical amount.

The location is breathtaking absolutely a small paradise. The facility impecable. Immerse in the green and flowers the cabins are amazing and super comfortable. The personnel amazingly nice

Beautiful, spacious and clean bungalows, right on the beach. We had 2nd row bungalows which was fine (3rd row also would have been fine). Beach is beautiful with soft sand, and still has a rustic feel about it (no hawkers pacing the beach trying to sell you jewelry / sarongs etc and no jet skis / pedlows etc - I hope it stays that way). See was calm and mostly clear (in August). Pool was always quiet with maximum only 1 other family there at the same time (mostly we were the only ones there). I didn’t find the pool particularly cold (as others have mentioned) but there is no really shallow end for toddlers (fine for our kids at 7yrs +). Unusual approach to breakfast (must be pre-ordered night before / by 7am), but it works well and means that service is v quick. Food quality was good. Restaurant wasn’t serving meals outside of breakfast but that’s ok as the beach has a handful of really lovely restaurants all within a very short walk.
Pingchan is perfect for a quiet, restful stay in a beautiful location. I hope to return one day - it was the highlight of my trip to Thailand.

The beachfront villas had good views
The property is very worn, there is no vibe in any of the areas, pool, restaurant, bar. The breakfast was poor, we were paying what we would pay at a 5 star due to staying in front villas but the property is barely a 3 star, disappointing. The villa had lovely view but was dark and dull inside
