We loved the views, the tours, the food (of which Jason made great efforts to accommodate special requests as well as his wonderful culinary ability), the rustic charm of the room, and the intimacy of only 4 rooms complete with 3 adorable cats. The stairs are at first intimidating but got my time down to 8 minutes!
In general I would have liked to see more wildlife. During our stay we saw one Orangutan from our porch though none on the river nor elephants. The numerous boats tended to scare some sensitive animals.

Beautiful location on top of a ridge with 360 degree views. Fully immersed in the jungle and wildlife.
Hardly any mosquitoes due to the elevation and breeze.
Jason was the most amazing host. He looked after us al and nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were fantastic. Rustic but spacious with a powerful fan, new and comfortable bathroom and a gorgeous view down the valley on one side and a wide veranda on the other.
The food was really good. Even our fussy teenagers enjoyed it.
The river cruises employ local villagers and boats and the guides ability to spot wildlife was amazing.
The only single drawback of the property are the many stairs to get up to it. But because of this it offers a true jungle experience we saw orangutans from the breakfast area.

Jason the owner and Ryan the guide were fabulous and really made our stay memorable. Jason was an excellent host and Ryan’s ability to spot wildlife made the river cruises and walk great experiences. We were really fortunate to see a mother and baby orangutan on the short trail walk from the accommodation along the ridge. The river cruises allowed us to see numerous proboscis monkeys, long tail and pig tailed macaques, langurs, rhinoceros hornbills, crocodiles and various other birds. Ryan tried his hardest to find elephants but they remained illusive despite his best efforts.
