Alessandro met us at the property, gave us a tour of the apartment and provided fresh bread and cheese. Absolutely stunning location and he was very nice, offering tips on restaurants, attractions or anything we could need. The place was stocked with good quality dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Very clean, we loved it! He even came by when we were leaving to have a chat about Canada, traveling and to say goodbye.
A few restaurants a short walk away, you are looking west out your door, awesome sunsets and nothing between you and Newfoundland.

Clean place, great location next to the ocean (getting out of your door you have two comfortable out door chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the view of the waves hitting the lava rocks right in front of you), and a very kind host Alessandro.
Furniture and kitchen tools were a bit outdated. And the apartment was more expensive than all other places we stayed on five other islands, that all offered more value for less money. However, looking at prices on Booking.com, it seems staying on Flores is generally more expensive than staying elsewhere in the Azores, and this place wasn’t more expensive than many others on Flores.

The host was incredibly kind, always easy to reach, and very supportive, especially after our flight was cancelled. The location and the view are truly unbeatable, with beautiful sunsets directly by the sea – for that alone, we would give 10/10.
Unfortunately, the condition of the accommodation did not fully meet our expectations, as everything felt quite outdated, there was a musty smell, visible humidity on the walls, and we sadly had ants everywhere from the moment we arrived, even in the bed. The shower would also benefit from descaling and replacing the shower curtain. Overall, while we truly appreciated the hospitality and amazing location, the price-performance ratio unfortunately did not feel right for us.
