The beds were really cosy. Great facilities and plenty of toilets. Everything was clean and cleaned regularly. Breakfast was a nice touch, wasn't actually expecting to get breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly. You could also buy padlocks and anything you'd forgotten such as towels/toiletries etc. from reception. Communal areas were well furnished with plenty of seats and tables. Tea/coffee and milk available to use whenever you liked in the communal kitchen. Location was ideal, only a 20 min walk into the main hustle and bustle near the river and Temple Bar.
The only thing I didn't account for is the noise of other guests in the dorms. Can't be helped as the pods aren't soundproof and people snore and obviously need to move about and pack things if they're leaving, get up to use the bathrooms and come and go from the dorm. I was courteous and didn't slam doors but instead guided them shut gently but others weren't always so quiet.
A tad annoying that you had to buy and use the hostel padlock for the lockers in the dorms and notices saying any padlocks other than theirs would be removed but €4 is neither here nor there.

Lovely building, lovely atmosphere, comfy bed, great shower and soya milk for tea and cereals at breakfast.
There was no kettle in the room so I had to go down to the basement to get hot water to make tea. There was a coffee machine but it didn't work. I asked for a kettle at reception but they said I couldn't have one. I went back down to let them know the coffee machine wasn't working, they said someone would come to our room to fix the problem but no-one came.
It would have been nice if there had been dairy free spread at breakfast for toast.

Relatively convenient for the airport, which was my main reason for booking. Met my needs.
My bunk was right next to the lift so there was intermittent noise. Breakfast is relatively average. If you’re wanting to do the usual Dublin things, this location is a bit far away. Not many places to eat near by.

The breakfast was great, big choice of food (hb eggs!) and washing up service...
The bunk beds were in stuffy boxes, providing more privacy perhaps, but very hot, could not sleep.
Also, l had to pay 8 euro to leave my luggage the next day in a locker, a service which has always been free in hostels since l remember (and is still free in most of them) so a bit disappointing... Extra 4 euro for a padlock. Extra 4 euro for a towel... At the end value for money not so good, despite breakfast, sorry to say
