I have stayed here a number of times, and is my first choice for hotels in Pokhara. Clean, simple, large rooms, lovely atmosphere and really fresh breakfast each day. Loved the addition of happy hour street food tastings!

Karuna has such a lovely vibe and Kelly and her team really go out of their way to make everyone welcome and comfortable. I have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Loved the addition of the afternoon happy hours with the street food tastings. Breakfast buffets are great and location means it's an easy walk to the lakeside.
Nothing comes to mind.

1. Kind staffs: staffs were very kind and actively communicated with me prior to the check in time. There was travel agency in the first floor which was very convenient to book different activities.
2. Location: 5-10min walk to any popular lakeside restaurants, bars and cafes! It was safe at night as well.
We booked here after reading a lot of positive reviews in Booking.com. It was my parents’ first time visiting Nepal so I wanted to make a good memory for them. However, Hotel Karuna was definitely not as good as the reviews mentioned.
1. Questionable room condition: My mom started to sneeze and have runny nose as soon as she entered our room. Behind the curtains it was very dusty and I had face acnes after sleeping one night.
2. Eco-friendly: YES, this hotel IS committed save the environment by providing bar soap and DOES NOT have elevator, bathroom amenities, refrigerator and etc.. Unfortunately it was apparently not a good place for the people who seek for convenience like us
3. Poor electronics: The fan on the ceiling didn’t work on the second night so we had to call the staff to fix it… Afterwards it continuously made so much annoying noise and TV was not working too.. The room had far less functions than I expected and worse than what I read from the reviews
