The Space: Sea Star Villa is a recently renovated 2 bed 2 bath beachfront apartment located inside the Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. You will love the ocean views from both terraces, the living room, and one of the bedrooms. The condominium has 3 ocean-front pools and a Jacuzzi, all within walking distance. The beach is across the pool and there are lounge chairs available for guest use. The Wyndham Hotel is a 5-minute walk down the beach. There you will find various restaurants, bars, and a spa. Outside of the resort, you are a 5-minute drive away from The El Yunque national rainforest, within 10 minutes of over a dozen dining options, and a short 20-minute drive to Fajardo and the boat charters to neighboring islands that depart from its ports.  Sea Star's two-bed, two-bath layout, and immediate proximity to 3 pools and a mile-long beach make it the ideal property for couples and families looking for the perfect, no-hassle Caribbean vacation. Please note guests are not authorized to use Wyndham Hotel amenities and facilities.  Nonetheless, guests only have access to the Iguana's Cocina Puertoriqueña Restaurant, Hotel Casino & Spa with prior reservations.  LIVING AREAS The living room has comfortable seating for six adults. The living room has beach and ocean views and a terrace with a breakfast table for two. The dining room has a four-person dining table and is seamlessly connected to the living room. There is air conditioning throughout the entire apartment.     BEDROOMS There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed with a seating area and cable TV. The master bedroom enjoys golf course and rainforest views. The master bathroom has two doors, one that opens directly to the bedroom and another that conveniently opens to the living room. The master bathroom is also where you'll find the washer and dryer. The 2nd bedroom has two full beds, an ocean-front terrace, cable TV, and a dedicated full bathroom. KITCHEN Sea Star Villa has a small and tidy kitchen that is well outfitted for an extended stay. There is a 4 burner stovetop, microwave, and fridge. Please Note: This villa does not have an oven. LOCATION This private beachfront villa is located inside the Ocean Villas Community inside the grounds of the 500 acre Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort & Spa. The Ocean Villas community boasts three oceanfront pools and a jacuzzi available for use of community residents and guests only. There is 24 hour security and underground parking. The Ocean Villas are directly in front of the beach and include access to beach lounge chairs. Enjoy the 13 tennis courts and 2 golf courses available at the Wyndham Resort. GETTING AROUND Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande. There are many activities within 15 minutes of driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate. The villa includes 2 parking spots. Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area. TRAVEL INSURANCE We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. AMENITIES West Indies strives to deliver top notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. If you are staying for more than 3 nights and the property does not have a washer and dryer we can coordinate a complimentary towel changeover, subject to availability. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay. HOUSE RULES Check-in time is at 4:00pm Check-out time is at 11:00am NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated. NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property. All bookings are contingent on signing a short term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first. Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.  Do not hang towels or clothes from balcony or windows. Do not wash white towels with colored beach towels. Any damaged towels will be charged from the security deposit. Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property. Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess, stained towels/linens will be charged from damage deposit Subletting not allowed Host will not pay for hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service.  If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of cancelling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used.
