The lobby, library, and restaurant were great places to overlook the canal. It was a pretty quiet street close to shopping and walkable to most of the city center.
The room style was a little more an older style.

Location. Very pretty property
We were on the first floor and it was noisy all night long. People walking by the window and motorized traffic.

The hotel is well located. A quick tram ride from the Main train station. The Library bar is a nice space on reception level, with the books providing a nice ambience - although they are all locked away so can't confirm that they are signed by the authors. There are lifts in the hotel so moving our luggage around was fine.
We booked a Triple room but this was in reality a Double room with a third bed added which made the space quite tight.
We stayed during a hot period. The room had a freestanding AC unit but the hose outlet wasn't fitting properly and had been duct-taped onto the back of the unit - the heat meant this kept falling off, so cold air coming out the front and hot air coming out the back. Luckily there was a freestanding fan also provided, and we could open the windows.
Beware if having breakfast in the hotel brasserie (and this isn't included in your room rate)- there is a menu on each of the tables for the hot items for the fixed price breakfast, plus a buffet with the cold items. The woman who showed us to our table did not make it clear that if we wanted a cold breakfast (cereals, fruit etc) we would need to ask for the a la carte menu. In fact she said nothing at all. We assumed that you just visited the buffet and would be charged accordingly - so 32 euros for a cup of tea and a bowl of cereal was very steep. Disappointing response from the reception staff regarding this charge as well - I was told it was my fault for going to the buffet. In this type of hotel I would've expected the 2 menu's to be on the table.
