Staff and owners are amazing; short walk to airport, nice view; comfy bed. Bob, the dog loves to walk with you to town.

The views and the fact that we had bananas growing right in front of us.
The friendliness of the hosts. The willingness to help with advice on our trip. The views of the valley were also great.

What makes this place special (much like Flores) is the warm-hearted, genuinely nice and helpful people. I needed a high protein breakast so they were able to make me a nice omlette. They can help with all questions about Flores and a cousin of the owner gives really excellent incisive tours of the island and can act as you driver around town. The place is basic and rustic but really good value for the price and a very simple ten minute walk from the airport. The bed is ok and the water was always hot. I highly reccommend that you choose this gem of a Homestay for both rest and play :)

•the breakfast (pancakes) were alright, but brown apples and 4 pieces of 1cm fruits? i don’t know
•staff was friendly
i don’t know how they got their rating, but compared to other properties in that area this is a max 6-star rating and we ain’t picky
•literally a container, so super noisy from either karaoke, mosque, flights from the airport or the chicken, we didn’t slept at all
• sink is a sprayer, that wasn’t possible to use, water in toilet was constantly running
• was disgusting to use the bathroom at all + it’s basically outside
$$$$
