What a lovely find! We stayed here to break up our journey back from Scotland. It’s not far off the M6, but once you’re there it feels like you’re miles away from everything. We actually wished we’d booked two nights!
The staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. They made us feel welcome straight away, and even booked us a table for dinner just in case.
Our room was spotless and had everything we needed, including plenty of tea and coffee and a couple of bottles of water.
Dinner was lovely, especially the pies, and breakfast was spot on — great sausage and bacon! Definitely more than just your usual pub grub. We’d probably eat in the dining room next time rather than the bar, as it had a nicer atmosphere.
There are some lovely walks nearby with amazing views too. We’d definitely come back — next time we’ll stay longer! ❤️
Really little issue, the window rattled in the wind, if I had the energy I would have got up and tried to wedge it 🤣

The bedroom areas are tired, paper thin walls, doors in corridor bang causing room door to vibrate.
Quiet basic, mattresses too soft, duvets too thick for summer
$$$$
