Location was good with on-site parking. Room was fine with all facilities we expected.
Food at both dinner and breakfast was very good.
Staff were friendly and responsive.
Long wait (1 hour) for our meal at dinner due to 'staff shortages', although we were given a complimentary drink for our wait.

Lovely cooked breakfast and friendly service. Room was perfect for a solo traveller, everything that you could want in a compact but comfortable spce.

Liked Brian (Bri) who swapped us to a different room when I was unhappy with the 'no view' room first allocated. He was helpful and nothing too much trouble. Shame all the other staff aren't like him.
The breakfast was good quality.
The attitude and behaviour of the rest of the staff at this pub. Andrew, the manager? was quite rude to me on two occasions, in front of other guests too. The older woman working behind the bar was dismissive of my concern over the tight breakfast window of 1 hr between 8-9am and food being put away exactly on 9am with no time given for guests turning up half way thru that hour to finish without being rushed. Petulant and rude bar staff. Andrew was quite intimidating and I felt bullied by him. He wasn't really interested in my concerns. I was told by another member of staff that opting for breakfast (just one setting) last minute wouldn't be a problem; when it came to breakfast he told me this is not how they operate and raised his voice to me. My friend had issues with her stomach so this was our reason we couldn't commit to breakfast the day before. Mixed messages by staff.
No housekeeping/room clean done on the room when staying there 4 nights. Asked twice for tea tray to be topped up and not done either time. No obvious way to communicate about housekeeping needs.
