Nestled in Mar Vista, this lovely house for $125 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Venice Beach guesthouse/pool/ retreat. Bike or skate to famous Venice beach. Beautiful architect's guesthouse, living room and bedroom open to tropical back yard with pool, sun decks and private stone patio. Bedroom has queen size bed w/ Tuft and Needle matrass and French Doors that open to private patio, Living room has single bed for 3rd person and sliding doors that open to the dining area and pool. Kitchen, fully furnished, high speed internet,TV, utilities, gardener and pool service included . Pool is not heated, swimming only in the summer. Share back yard and pool w/female architect owner and an occasional foreign student .This guesthouse is ideal for a quiet and cozy vacation for a couple or small family looking for a nice and peaceful area near the beach. Welcome to a quiet and safe Venice neighborhood, new trendy stores and restaurants around the corner. Close to Abbot kinney bars and night life in Venice as well as new restaurants and cool stores just a block away on Lincoln Blvd. Zinque,Superba Food and Bread, Plant Based Pizza, Venice West (live music) Deus Ex Machina,The Penmar (live music) Bus stop 2 blocks away . Supermarket and Pharmacy are 4 blocks away . We are also near Santa Monica shopping on Main Street and 3rd Street Promenade and Rose Ave restaurants, night clubs and antique stores. Play golf on PENMAR an 8 hole course at walking distance, tennis courts at walking distance are free and have lights to play at night. Try a day on a fishing boat in Marina del Rey, go to the famous free concerts on the Santa Monica Pier or the Marina Burton Chase Park in the summer. The rent includes cruiser bicycles , so you can pedal to the famous Venice beach and go on the bike path next to the ocean. Free non regulated parking on the street. No microwave,no dishwasher. Pets are not allowed, no parties, meetings, no classes. ONLY QUIET PEOPLE , PLEASE, WE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBORS. No renters under 25 years old unless part of a family or agreed upon by owner. No visitors unless agreed upon by owner. No drugs, no Marihuana. The guesthouse is located at the end of the property, people that have any problem walking or need a walking stick please do not apply , as it would be difficult for you to enter and exit . No nude bathing. No diving.

Host was very friendly and helpful. She even left us a basket of fruit and a welcome card. Pool was nice , parking was on the street but no real issues there. Overall a nice stay.

The guesthouse is super comfortable and well equipped. You have everything you need for a quite rest after a busy day (either working or wandering around the city). A lot of nature vibes also, as you hear constant birds singing and have a squirrel visit here and there :) A lot of privacy.

My wife and I stayed here four nights, visiting family in the area. It is cozy and clean and fit our needs perfectly.
A few things to note (as of Jan 2023):
- The bed may be a double rather than a queen. It felt a little small for the two of us. But it was comfy and we slept well.
- The kitchen has no microwave or dishwasher because it is so small, but has everything else you are likely to need.
- The single bed that's in the living area is okay for a short sit-down, but not for an extended period of time. I wouldn't want to sit there very long watching TV, for example.
For us, none of these things made it any less enjoyable to stay.

We had a great Time in Venice Thanks to Gabriela ! House was Very clean and charming. Quiet and safe neighbourhood. We could even borrow bikes to go to the beach (20 min ride). We loved it.

My teenage son, husband, and I spent five days at this property at the end of July. Gabriela was fantastic to work with, and the property was just as described. She greeted us at check-in and even had a welcome basket with snacks waiting for us. It was a perfect location for everything we wanted to do (e.g. Warner Bros studio tour, Santa Monica pier) with everything just a short drive away. There is only street parking for the rental, but we never had any trouble finding a spot. There were also several great restaurants nearby that we were able to walk to, which was really nice. I felt very safe in the neighborhood, and we enjoyed sitting out in the backyard in the evenings. I would absolutely stay in this rental again when we come back to the area.

Venice vibe
This place, for us, was PERFECT!! Gabriela 'got' us before we even arrived. She is so solid, very cool, delightful, thoughtful, and just present enough. I would stay with her anywhere in the world.
The pool house was ideal for us - I was traveling with my 13yo daughter and her 13yo friend. They had their sleeping/private space, I had a place to sleep. Ideal environment, they cooked for me, I choked it down, they swam as often as possible, we ALL loved having the beach bikes to cover the local area, from Marina Del Rey all the way through Santa Monica - so easy and almost flat, generally.
It was right off a main commercial corridor, and there was a highly recommended bakery/breakfast place just around the corner, a Ralph's a couple short blocks walk away, a convenience store and all sorts of funky options on foot, close at hand.
There are several car rental places less than 10 minutes walk away - this place is PERFECT! Trust Gabriela, trust me ...

Gabriela was a great hostess! Very helpful and always available if we had any requests!
The accommodation was enough for our requirements as we were out everyday exploring! The accommodation was clean and had the facilities we required! If you are after something quirky with good access to beaches and Hollywood this would be ideal. A car would be preferential at this location. We have a lovely week!

Loved our stay at this gem. Gabriela is thoughtful, generous, friendly, and so inviting. Lovely little pool house close to popular neighbourhood restaurants and the Abbot Kinney strip. We had a great stay at the property. The location is perfect, in Venice, right between Santa Monica and Playa Vista. We had a great stay at the property. The location is perfect, in Venice, right between Santa Monica and Playa Vista. Gabriela is delightful
Throughout our two-week stay Gabriela was fun to talk to and immediately attentive to any problems. You couldn't ask for a better hostess or neighbor. It's a cozy arrangement with her house in the frontyard and her rental cottage in the backyard with the pool in between, but it works just fine. The neighborhood is very safe, and it's a short drive to the beach, the canals and most of the sights. And you'll like Gabriela!

Our host couldn’t have been nicer and everything was ready for us on arrival, even a nice welcome basket and some refreshments. This is an artsy area and the home didn’t disappoint. What was once a 1 car garage has been lovingly made into a backyard oasis. Behind 3 gates you’ll feel safe and secluded. My only complaint would be that the unit itself doesn’t secure very well, but honestly, there was more to steal from our host than us. We never felt unsafe in or around the home or the neighborhood. It was an easy walk to Abbot Kinney and the canals. We walked to the beach and boardwalk from there, but chose Uber for a ride home. Plenty of restaurants within a few blocks. No air conditioning scared me a bit (coming from Florida), but we slept with the sliding door and windows open and it was perfect! No Florida humidity! The pool was a welcoming treat after a day of touring around LA. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely property! I was so comfortable there. Very homey and relaxed. Gorgeous setting. Host is very friendly and respects privacy. Every tiny detail was taken care of, thoughtful in preparing the property for the renter. I would definitely stay here again. Super happy customer.

EXCELLENT... exactly as expected

I enjoyed staying here very much. The host was amazing. Very kind, considerate and always willing to help us out. Got us a night light the night after we checked in and helped us with the laundry. Would stay here again.

Peaceful Getaway
The cottage was cozy, comfortable and precious. Gabriela was accommodating, gracias and pleasant to talk to. We enjoyed our stay. We walked to the beach everyday and enjoyed the sights of Venice and Santa Monica.

The property was fine clean and tidy very secure and I felt completely at home
I can imagine jumping in the pool after a day at the beach there was also a lovely little covered area when you could have dinner in peace under the evening sun
Loads of car parking in fact there was a new property just finished opposite— 3.3 million dollars tells you what a great area the property is !!!

We loved our stay in Venice at Gabriela's place. It was quite, private, clean, and lovely. Gabriela was not in town but she ALWAYS responded to emails.

Good Location in Venice and Santa Monica
Gabriela is a wonderful hostess—anxious to please her guests. The pool house is in a quiet, but good location. Superba Restaurant around the corner is a must! Gabriela has stocked the little kitchen with supplies that are necessary to get your stay started—which is very appreciated. The grounds are lovely. Next time visit will be when it is warmer, and we can use the pool.

Great location, very delightful, and attentive hostess
This could not have been a better stay, everything was as described. The apartment itself was very clean, cozy and very handsome, everything you need and the hostess offers anything you need. Unfortunately the pool isn't heated, so we couldn't use it during our stay in March.
However, the bottom line is: Highly recommend this property.

Great guesthouse to explore Venice and the Californian coast
Before arriving, Gabriela provided us with all information we needed to park our car and get into the nice and clean guesthouse.
It was exactly as described, very privately hidden at the end of the garden close to the swimming pool. We found everything as shown on the pictures and described, so that we felt immediately at home with the great and pleasant color scheme (our favored colors) used throughout the guesthouse.
After a warm welcome Gabriela gave us more information about the house, the environment as well as some ideas for doing the groceries or eat out.
The location is very convenient to walk to Abbot Kinney or even to the beach.
With the nice setting in the garden we enjoyed every evening using the BBQ rather than going to one of the nice restaurants around the corner.
We really enjoyed staying there and being guests of Gabriela. This would be the address to return to in case we’ll be back to Venice.
