Located in Big Bear, this lovely house for $131 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Step into your own mountain heaven at Summit Paradise! Located within walking distance to Snow Summit, and just minutes from everything else Big Bear has to offer! This wonderful log cabin boasts mountain decor, comfortable furnishings, and plenty of space and amenities for your family weekend in the mountains. The great room features real log cathedral ceilings. The living room has a pull-out sofa, love seat, wood burning fireplace, and large flat screen TV with Roku, Hulu Live and DVD player. The dining area has table and chairs for six with three additional seats at the kitchen bar. Ample counter space makes meal prep a breeze, along with a dishwasher, gas range, microwave, and coffee pot. Down the hallway is a full bathroom, and the first bedroom with a king bed and TV with HULU. Step out to the back yard for relaxing in the fresh air while you grill on the charcoal barbecue, eat outdoors at the picnic table, or enjoy a game of horseshoes. The deck off the dining area is the perfect place to relax with a drink and catch up with old friends. Upstairs in the loft are two full beds, a TV with HULU and DVD, as well as an extensive movie collection. A full bathroom, laundry, and the second bedroom with king bed are also on this level. Great location and close to Snow Summit.

The property was spacious enough for us and our 2 dogs who traveled with us. Overall it was an okay stay. The house is extremely rustic which was great for that true cabin experience. Outdoors nothing had been properly stored in preparation for the snow. The backyard games weren’t touched because everything was buried in the snow. We also weren’t able to use the furniture on the side patio because the snow had not been removed and it had formed into ice. We attempted to remove it, but were not successful. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway in the mountains in a quiet and calm neighborhood.
The booking process was a bit stressful because vrbo has different information than the actual rental company. I was able to get the right check in, check out information from them.

All was OK. Cabin internet did not work the whole time we were there causing much frustration for kids and adults. The router would not connect. We ended up using our phones as Hotspots which has increased our mobile bill for the month.

Comfortable, inviting and well stocked. Excellent porches and outdoor space. Nice quiet neighborhood for walking or bike riding. An excellent choice for our mini reunion.

Disappointed in the check in process-messaged the property management company before we left to see if we were able to check in early, and they told me that we would be able to check in at 1:00 pm. We arrived at 2:00pm and were told that there was maintenance being done on the cabin-the young man at the counter was less than helpful & we were not able to check in until after 3:00.The cabin was cute, cozy and had a beautiful fireplace, but the comforters on the beds were not clean and there were no blankets on the beds. Bedding definitely needs some care & updating. Also, there was no soap provided for showering (first time in 30+ years of renting)-had to shower with liquid hand soap after a long day of traveling.

Summer getaway
Our stay at the cabin was very nice. Although it was hot outside the cabin and porches stayed cool from the shade of the trees. The inside of the cabin was spacious enough for our family of four. The beds were comfy which is always important. The couches and some of the furniture was a little worn but everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Check in and check out were quick and easy.
