Tranquil Retreat with Charming Garden: A Peaceful Stay with Thoughtful Touches

We had a delightful three-night stay at this charming and tranquil retreat. The well-maintained garden added to the serene atmosphere, and the house itself was both inviting and impeccably kept. Conveniently located within walking distance of the town, the property offered all the essential amenities. The breakfast provided a variety of tasty options, and the availability of parking and WiFi in all rooms was appreciated. David, the host, was attentive and caring, taking the time to discuss our plans and inquire about our experience. One minor suggestion would be to clarify the policy regarding hot food in rooms, as it wasn't explicitly mentioned. Additionally, having a common fridge stocked with refreshments or snacks for purchase would be a thoughtful touch for guests. Overall, a wonderful stay with only minor room for improvement.

Cotswolds bliss close to town in a well run homely B&B.

Fantastic B&B run by the amazing David. Everything catered for at your disposal nothing left to be asked for. Great quiet location 6 minutes walk to gorgeous Bourton. Room was very nice and comfy with great garden views. couldn’t ask for more.

Superb

We had a lovely stay at Coombe House, it was just like being in the comfortable home of a friend, relaxed ambiance, set in a spacious garden. David hosted us beautifully, 5 stars all the way. Everything was uncomplicated with plenty of parking. Bourton on the Water is the nicest village in the Cotswolds, flowers and little bridges everywhere and very quiet at night. Highly recommended as the best base for visiting the area.

Great host, very good breakfast, quite but close to town center location.

David is an excellent host and the breakfast he prepared had a wide selection and was always very good. We can only recommend David's B&B also because it is close to the town center and you don't have to worry about parking there. Thank you David for being such a nice host.

Excellent vacation by all means!

Very central to the town centre of Bourton-on-the-Water and all attractions. Excellent starting point for many hiking tours in the surrounding. Extremely friendly host who make you so much welcome and provides you an atmosphere like being at home.

A lovely welcome from David and Dawn!

Breakfast was delicious. Location was very good - a short (approx 10 minute stroll) to the centre of Bourton on the Water. David was very helpful in giving ideas on where to visit and restaurants at which to eat.

Would recommend booking local restaurants in advance at peak times.

Lovely stay in a quaint and central B&B.

The hosts were extremely welcoming and spent some time at the beginning having a tea/coffee together and just chatting, which was very nice. The breakfasts every morning were lovely, the property was also very nice and it was a short and enjoyable walk to the historic town centre.

The room was rather small for the price we paid and the water pressure in the shower was probably the worst we had experienced in our 3-week trip around Britain.

Clean, comfortable, friendly, with good attention to detail.

We chose it because it provided reasonably secure off-road parking for some classic cars. Attention to detail in everything was excellent. The level of friendliness was judged perfectly without being intrusive. Thank you very much for an enjoyable few days.

The location of the property was brilliant just a short walk into Bourton on the water the property was lovely really clean the breakfast was of a really high standard and nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely stay here again

An excellent, comfortable place to stay, real value for money and with wonderfully attentive hosts.

Ideally located with a short walk to town centre. Super friendly and agreeable hosts. Very enjoyable cooked breakfast. Comfortable room with clean sizeable bathroom and a nice outlook.

Cannot imagine how the accommodation could be improved. The loose stone driveway meant we couldn't easily wheel the luggage but David carried the bags for us (should have unloaded at the front entrance instead - next time).

The location was great. Able to walk into town. Took about 10/15 minutes at a slow stroll. The breakfast was good. Could accommodate all tastes. Lovely choice all fresh. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Could not say there was anything l didn’t like. It’s a truly a little gem of a B and B.

Coombe House is an ideal base for touring around Cotswolds. Dawn and Dave were excellent hosts -friendly without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good. Would have no hesitation in recommending Dawn and Dave at Coombe House as an ideal B&B.

Great house with big garden and lovely balcony for all guests to use. Kind and attentive hosts and wonderful breakfast! Nice room. Bourton-on-the-water is a lovely town in itself and a good place to stay in the Cotswolds.

Exactly as one would wish.

Breakfasts were superb and the location was first class, .We would certainly. go again. The hosts were exceedingly attentive and helpful.

Nothing springs to mind save that breakfast from 8 am would have been useful for us.

Our short break at Coombe House was comforting, a pleasure and set in such a beautful village.

The presentation, comfort and cleanliness are of the highest standard. The hosts were welcoming and friendly at all times and provide a professionally run establishment. The breakfast is of the highest quality. Coombe House is a short walk from the beautiful village and overall our stay was a wonderful break away.

We have stayed in larger rooms but there is nothing the owners could do about that. The room was clean and very comfortable, similarly with the ensuite.

Fantastic stay, didn't want to go home !

David and Dawn are fantastic hosts and so welcoming, this is my second stay at Coombe House and I would love to come back again. The rooms are so comfortable and the breakfast amazing, all within walking distance of the town and all its attractions.
