Cosy, spotlessly clean, well-equipped room with ensuite shower and even a mini fridge which was very useful.
The best Full English Breakfast, a friendly and helpful host and the location was a short drive from Ennerdale after a wild weather day out on the Lakeland Fells.
There were several places to go and eat and a Tesco Superstore a short walk away.
There were views of the sea and nice sky views from my room even though it was in an urban setting.
This guest house was excellent value for money and I would definitely consider returning.
This premises is in town and so if you're bothered by traffic noise, you might consider bringing ear plugs to sleep. It didn't bother me. There is disc parking outside of the premises, but the host Brian reassured me that I would be fine without a disc. Not quite sure where you would park if there wasn't space and I forgot to ask.

Where do I start? It was just like stepping into someone's home (which is what it is, I suppose). Tastefully furnished, beautifully decorated and with a stunning view over the town and harbour from the marvellous breakfast room. I particularly liked the room décor, the coffee maker (not just a kettle!) and the bathroom. All immaculate, The bed was great. The owners are genial and helpful and provided a smashing breakfast.
I only stayed one night!
