About this cottage rental
Situated in Gravenhurst, this lovely cottage for $164 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. PLEASE DO NOT sent booking request for summer weekends. Inquiries are welcome but are only accepted subject to availability We have a warm cozy family cottage is only steps from Kahshe Lake. We are NOT on the water. Located minutes from Gravenhurst for shopping & dining - 1 1/2 hrs from Toronto. Clean, private and easy access to one of the most beautiful KID friendly beaches in Muskoka. Denne's Marina & Boat docking is near by. We have a canoe available at the cottage for your use and life jackets are provided. Kahshe Lake boasts great fishing spots. Enjoy hours of sunshine on your front deck or relax around the patio deck sipping wine or cool beverages. Night time family memories can be created sharing stories around the open fire pit (1st nights wood on us ). The living room, dining area and kitchen is open concept. The cottage is air-conditioned and has an enclosed porch with family board games, a card table and beach toys for the kids. Cottage is a two bedroom and sleeps 6 guests. There is a maximum 6 person occupancy. Primary Bedroom - 1 double bed , night stand, dresser , closet Bedroom 2 - 2 Twin Bunk Beds , night stand, dresser , closet Shower Towels provided ** NO Bed Linens / NO Pillows provided - Kitchen is fully equipped with a Fridge, Stove, Microwave, 12 cup Coffee Maker, Toaster . - Bottom loaded WATER dispenser ( 5 gallons ) provided. ** TAP WATER is NOT recommended for drinking. - Dining table seating for 6 - Living room has a Pull out Sofa - Wireless Internet ( Intermittent ) - Bell Satellite TV & DVD - Propane BBQ with a FULL tank of propane provided - Umbrella / Table and seating for 6 on Patio Deck ** JULY & AUGUST ** MINIMUM 7 NIGHT ( Saturday-Saturday ) rental is required during the peak season. TWO NIGHT MINIMUM outside of JULY & AUGUST Signed Booking Agreement to be completed. MUST BE A MINIMUM 25 YEARS OF AGE TO SIGN CONTRACT Refundable Damage Deposit ( $200 ) required with booking. Refundable after rental inspection. Enjoy Family fun on Kahshe Lake public beach just steps from your cottage or take a pleasure trip around the lake with the canoe available for your family's use.

It was a great experience. Everything was very good. Very cozy, lake access just walkable, nothing to worry about. Had a great family time.

The property was cute but you couldn't open most of the windows because the clips were broken to operate them. There was a big bulge in the floor between the dining room and the kitchen that I kept tripping on and hurting myself. It was clean and stocked but you had to replace anything you used even though it said it was supplied in the rental add. Good thing we brought our own stuff to
use. We brought bottled water and that was good because even though it said water was supplied you had to replace it. My husband and I cannot carry a 5 gal jug of water from the marina. But we were ok with our own water. So be aware if you choose to rent this cottage. The area as very populated so if you are looking for a quiet place to rest you need to know that it is very noisy and busy. The road is heavily travelled with trucks and cars - they were quite loud from early morning until evening.

We really loved Uncle Tom's Cabin. The cottage had everything we needed and was in great condition. The beach is a short 2 min walk and our kids, ages 1.5 and 4 absolutely loved it and so did we. Highly recommend this booking! The owners were incredibly responsive and the neighbours were really nice and helpful. Great memories were made and we are very happy :)

We killed a number of ANTS in the cottage. They seem to be able to get under the outside door from the kitchen . I was also surprised there was no fire extinguisher.
It should have been made clear that one must supply their own bed pillows.

This was our first time staying in a cottage with our 2 and 5 year old and it was stunning! The beach is a 30 sec walk and it's a lovely spot.
The cottage is beautiful and so cozy, it flet like home to us.
We love how the cottage had everything we needed! So we didn't have to pack much.
Shelly and Scott are amazing people and very helpful, it was super easy to get ahold of them if we needed anything!
It was a pleasure to stay at uncle Tom's and we hope we can again soon!

Had a great stay here, cottage was well equipped and had lots of space and things to do nearby. Went fishing, hikes, boats, canoes. Beach is literally a 2 min walk from the cottage. Could see all the stars at night! Had bbq and full nights of fire. Highly recommened, location is a gem :)

The cottage was very clean & easy to get to. However there is no direct lake view as advertised in the ad. To get to the lake was a good 5 min walk from the cottage. We were a bit disappointed there were only enough logs for 1 night and we ended up buying more for the 2nd night. However communication wasn’t too difficult with the host.

No complaints everything was perfect! It was very relaxing. Loved “uncle Tom’s” cabin. Had a comfortable warm feel to it. Such a nice beach area too. Everything is conveniently located. We only wished we booked a longer stay. We will definitely be back to this property next summer.

We had a fantastic time at the cabin. It was very close to the beach and the lake was perfect. Shelly and Scott were great hosts and every time we had a question they answered quickly. Zero complaints. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The owners of this cottage, Shelley and Scott were wonderful to deal with. The cottage was extremely clean, well appointed, cosy, lots of room, and only 10 minutes to Gravenhurst, which is a pretty town. The beach is a 3 minute walk, and the water is very clear and warm! We LOVED our stay, and are booking for 2 weeks next summer. We can’t wait. We loved everything about our stay, except it wasn’t long enough!!! Thank you Shelley and Scott.

The satellite TV was a lot of fun, the fire pit set up is very nice, and the dock two minutes walk away is just beautiful for a moonlight stroll. The cottage is also very first to Gravenhurst, which my spouse and I explored for the first time.
However, I’m not sure how well the place is cleaned between guests because we found tons of pet hair when we’d sweep at night and there was pet hair on a bunch of cushions in the front room. Also, there were mice - we ended up using the second fridge on the property as a ‘pantry’ but that didn’t deter them from scurrying around and making noise at night and leaving surprises for us in the morning.
Also, the wi-fi cut off after a stormy day early into our stay, so that was frustrating, with no fix despite texts from the owner saying he’d check the antenna, etc.

Easy to find, easy to communicate with managers. Check-in process a breeze and they were very accommodating to us on short-notice. Cottage is as described - great for a rustic stay (this is not a "glamour" cottage - but also that's not what we wanted).
Lake is great to swim - and literally 2 minutes walk away.

We found that the cottage was good for a group who liked varied activities. There was easy access to sightseeing, the lake and groceries. Scott was very helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed the peddle boat. It would be helpful if directions for parking included turning down Nagaya street to get to back parking at the cottage.
