It's a nice, cosy village surrounded by nature. There is a small, scenic pond where you can take a short boat ride. You get the impression that you are staying in your own dacha! The next morning, we visited the nearby Umbrella rocks, then the elephant orphanage and the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which includes a deer park and a crocodile rehabilitation and research centre. As we are vegetarians, we enjoyed the paneer and the abundance of food. The fruit juices were fresh and tasty! The host and staff were very friendly and attentive.
Everything was pretty good. If you're looking for a serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place could be perfect for your weekend getaway!

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time in this homestay. The family is lovely, tries to fulfill every wish and makes everything that we felt welcome. We could even use their laundry machine and they also gave us a lot of tips what to do in the area. The room was nice and clean and we had a large balcony where I could practise yoga looking into nature. The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was delicious and very large portions. I can highly recommend this place.
There is not much what you can do by foot. We had a scooter and that was perfect to explore the nice area.
