Home is located in the very desirable Sand Dollar Beach community; away from the bar scene. This is the perfect spot for families or a romantic getaway. You will be less than 200 paces to sand and surf down our paved and gently sloping community beach access footpath. The home is a real gem; remodeled in 2018 and located just 6 houses from sand and surf. Beautiful high vaulted ceilings, magnificent giant fireplace and over 2,100 square feet of living space. You will love how bright and airy this home is; providing both large open spaces, as well as cozy nooks for private reading and relaxing. The reverse floor-plan, provides views of the ocean from kitchen, family room and master bedroom. A second 'bonus' area located downstairs provides a great escape for the children or peaceful relaxation spot. In addition, a spacious outdoor deck is a great place to relax, enjoy a fine meal at the outdoor dining table, take in the ocean view or simply enjoy the ocean's breeze. The home is stocked with the latest amenities and kitchen necessities. This lovely home is very spacious, comfortably sleeps 9. Our girls trip was a huge success! We enjoyed the beach access and the long stretch of walkable sand. The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed to cook for a group. This house is close enough to Santa Cruz and Capitola for day trips or a nice dinner out. I recommend this house for groups of 6 or less.

Wonderful home in La Selva with scenic ocean views! Comfortable and close to the beach and neighboring cities. Fully furnished and appointed for a wiry free stay. Property owners were very accommodating to our early arrival request. Great communication.

Loved listening to the sounds of the ocean in the comfort of this home. It's a little walk down to the beach, albeit hilly, but not too difficult for the young at heart. If you need to drive older ones, it's only 5 min or less to the other beach access. Very relaxing time!

Joe is the kindest, most communicative and patient host we have ever come across. The check in process was perfect as he put on the outside lights due to our flights being delayed several hours. The home was well equipped with food, beach supplies, and hygiene essentials.
He also provided quick flexibility for checking out later than the usual time and responding almost instantly.
He’s a true mensch.

Great location! Great stay! We had a wonderful time at the property! The house had everything we needed! 2 min walk to an essentially private beach at La Selva beach which we loved! Clean! Open, bright living room area. 45 min to the Monterey bay aquarium. 15-20 min to Capitola. Easy communication with the manager. Thanks for a great stay!

Loved our stay here. Beautiful deck with a view of the water from afar. Very well equipped kitchen. The photos don’t do it justice. It was wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and a short walk to the beach each day. Lovely home.

The house perfect, the neighborhood was very quiet and you can hear the ocean while relaxing in the living room.
You are within in minutes of an abundance of activities and restaurants. We will be visiting again soon. I recommend a visit to the Apple Cafe delicious food.

We stayed here for a belayed family Easter trip with our family and had an amazing time. The house was very clean and spacious for everyone to enjoy. The second floor patio has beautiful views of the ocean and the beach is a short walk down a steep street and set of stairs. The kids loved walking on the beach in the mornings and looking for shells, which were plentiful. The location is a little further from shops/restaurants but makes up for it by its proximity to the beach. Overall it was a great stay!

We love this house like a second home. We have two families - both with two adults and two girls. It is comfortable and peaceful. The owners have been great and we will continue to visit.

The location is amazing - a short walk to the beach and to nature trails. The home is very cozy, with good ameneties and a great view. Great option for a family and plenty of kitchen supplies to cook at the house. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and the host responded quickly. Would recommend this VRBO to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Joe’s communication was excellent. I would most definitely stay at Sand Dollar again. We had a great time! The grandchildren wanted to stay longer shedding some tear’s because they didn’t want to leave.
The house was fully stocked with all amenities .
We enjoyed the short walk to the beach only minutes away very private.The girls played in the waves and loved looking for sand dollars.

This was our second stay here, we enjoyed the house and location so much on the first visit that we booked for the same weekend this year. The host is great, and even stored a very large package I inadvertently had delivered to the house for a year!

This house was perfect for Grandma, two daughters & hubbies and one granddaughter. It is large enough to accommodate quite a few other family members for brunches and dinners. Beds were great and everything was clean and tidy. Thank you.

Our family enjoyed our stay in this clean, spacious and well located house with excellent modern appliances (massive washing machine and dryer).
Sadly we didn't get the weather to enjoy the outside space on offer, but being in a quiet residential area just a short drive to either Santa Cruz or Monterey was ideal in escaping the localised mist during our few days.
Excellent communication with the owner, and exceptionally clean house.

It was a really good house for our family. My husband and I, the grandparents, had the upstairs master suite, while my son, daughter-in-law and the two boys had the downstairs. This worked out very well. We all loved the ocean view and proximity to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and the furniture is comfortable. A nice, quiet neighborhood, too.

Beautiful property. We had a great time! Perfect house for a family getaway. Steep walked to and from the beach but we survived and would definitely go back!!

Great beach house!
Great spot for a family beach getaway! The house was clean and very spacious(the living area is bigger than it appears in pictures). Layout was great for two small families. The adults had the bedrooms and the kids bunked in the twin room (extra rollaway in the closet was awesome). Kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and servingware which was appreciated. Would definitely rent again!

Beach Get away
We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was fully ready for us and had everything we needed. The walk to the beach is down hill and down many steps, so we got our exercise. We would love to come back next year.

Great Place to Stay
The house was very clean and easy to check in to. It has amazing views of the ocean and is walking distance (down a steep road) to the beach. Extremely well equipped with bikes, boogie boards, foosball, beach umbrella, and more.

Only one of us read your property description -not your fault, but three of 6 thought this was a tri level property - so we were surprised to know three of the sleeping areas were on the same floor. We worked it out. Wondering why there is not a queen bed in place of a single bed - we had one guest who is a 6 foot height and they were in that twin bed. By the way - the other queen bed was heaven to sleep in. The dinnerware needs to be replaced and some of the cookware - namely frying pans and they were not very clean. Noticed the oven door glass is cracked. Our group is rating you 9 out of 10 and definetly would stay again

Cozy Beach Getaway
Very nice home in an attractive, beautifully landscaped neighborhood. The kitchen is well stocked, upper level is light and airy with wrap-around balcony and views of the ocean. The beach is a short (but steep!) walk down the hill. Highly recommended, so long as you are OK with navigating stairs and hillside slopes. Would like to return some day.
