Lovely spacious home away from home, the attention to detail was amazing. Christie was a good host, showing us how everything worked when we arrived, something a lot of hosts don't bother to do. Everything we could possibly need was provided, including some surprise extras like the farm fresh eggs. The bathroom worked well, and the shower was the best in our travels so far. We loved the rural atmosphere, and just loved returning home each afternoon, even though the weather was not completely kind to us. Loved the hairy coo decor!
In Australia we are used to a top sheet, doesn't appear to be the case in the UK. The doona is too hot for us, but we like some sort of covering.

Beautifully decorated and spacious holiday chalet for two people. We loved the outstanding views of the rolling hills, wildlife, woods, and mountains in the distance. The owners were so welcoming and helpful, and provided us with a tasty welcome hamper and lots of local tips for restaurants and walks.
This is also an ideal location on Skye, not far from Portree but still well placed for exploring a you can reach both the West and South coasts of the island in about an hour by car. Highly recommend!
If you go in August, be prepared for lots of midges but a good insect repellent like Smidge or Incognito meant we were still able to go on lots of beautiful walks and the weather was amazing!

Wonderful place to stay, well maintained with everything we needed for exploring Skye. Plenty of space for a Couple to relax in. Being just 15 min away from Portree makes it very ‘centralized’ for exploring the whole island while not being directly in the town.
