About this house rental
Situated in Harrington, this charming house for $175 per night is a great option for your next vacation. This beautiful home is located less than 30 feet from the shore on Narraguagus Bay where one can sit and watch lobster boats, seals, eagles, and take in all of the beauty of life on the ocean. When you are not enjoying the view and relaxing on the deck, you can enjoy a short drive (45 mins) to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Rogue Bluff, or local hiking. You will never be bored on your vacation!. While visiting Milbridge you can dine at local restaurants (44 Degrees and the Milbridge House), take a sea tour with a local lobster fisherman, or have lobsters on the deck provided from the biggest and best lobsterman in the area! The house is set up with a kitchen, entertainment room, a sitting room overlooking the ocean, large deck, 2 master bed rooms ( one with king bed and another with a queen bed), a pull out couch, and a kids room with two twin beds (and another pull out). In additional the house is equipped with all the cooking needs so that you don't have to eat out every night while enjoying the view at the end of the day! The location is extremely private and off the road with a large lawn so that children have plenty of room to safely play without the concerns of traffic. Located on the property while on a walk to the shore, you will be able to pick Maine Wild Blueberries during the months of July and August. You will not find a better location in Milbridge or Downeast Maine. Most people will tell you that this is a one of a kind location! We have recently added a second new house (1 bedroom and loft with 2 kids beds) for extra family and friends. 2nd house is available for rent if you are looking for more room.

This house is great with one exception. It has no air conditioning and it was very hot the week that we were there. The first night we were there it was 78 degrees at 10 pm when we went to bed. Some windows did not have screens. If you rent this location be sure to deal with the mother and father of Jeremy because Jeremy is the MOST RUDE person I have ever dealt with on VRBO. He did not care that I had issues to discuss and would not listen. Immediately he told me to just check out and he would give me refund. I appreciate the fact that he offered a refund which I did not accept because the view is fantastic at this location and I did not want to find another place to stay. I WOULD NEVER RENT FROM JEREMY AGAIN! On the other side I have to say that his parents are very nice people and brought an extra fan to the house which helped with the unbearable heat.

When the listing said pet friendly I wasn’t ready for the cat smell that met us when we opened the door. It was impossible for us to get comfortable with that smell. This house does not have the feel of a true STR it is more like staying in someones home, instead of a rental. We had four nights reserved and paid for, we left after the first night. We went further down the coast and had to pay for 3 nights in a hotel. Refrigerator was full of condiments, and cabinets full of personal goods, including bathroom.

Great view from inside and on the deck. Very peaceful. Note: The fishermen get started early so there was a little noise before sunrise but it was not at all a problem. Enjoyed exploring the area. Wish we could have stayed a day or two longer. Did not get to try anything from Chipman's Wharf next door but it was recommended more than once. Maybe next time.

We had a nice time. My son and his girlfriend flew in from Arizona and they stayed with me and hubby in the main house . My daughter and her wife stayed with their 3 dogs in guest house. Worked out well. Guest house description a little misleading. The picture on VRBO is a house next door that was not the guest house but it was fine.

We loved the natural views from this waterfront property. We even saw an eagle flying overhead. The house met all our needs and gave us some wonderful seclusion. We enjoyed are stay. This home is a little over an hour to Bar Harbor.

We enjoyed our stay in authentic, non-touristy Maine! The house was nice and in a safe area. We enjoyed meals on the deck when it was warm enough! Though the drive to Acadia Nat'l Park got a little long on some days, it also allowed us to find some amazing hidden gems we never would have found if we stayed closer to the park (esp Tidal Falls Preserve, with its hundreds of starfish, and spotting otter on Little Moose Island!). We are thankful for the opportunity to stay here!

I picked this place because of the deck and location. We loved sitting out on the deck watching the lobster boats come and go. We loved the privacy of the location of the property. We came to Maine to enjoy the lobster and we couldn't have picked a better place than Milbridge. Everyone in the town was friendly and helpful. They told us where we could get our lobster at a reasonable price. We had lobster everyday for seven days. The home was nice and comfortable . I would highly recommend vacationing here.

The property is absolutely gorgeous with a great view at all times. Some updating is needed or may already be in progress but it had all the essentials to start off a vacation for the most part. My dogs were both content and could roam freely. We have some great memories to take with us from here.

Was exactly what we wanted! Big lawn, deck, fire pit, accessable fishing dock and easterly views for perfect sunrise paintings! Kitchen was big enough for the 6 of us to cook. We had to shovel some snow/ice off the deck, but still was great. We were warm and cozy! Thank you

House super-clean and has everything needed for a great stay - comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, outdoor space, & lots of puzzles & games. Grocery store is a short drive to town. Acadia about an hour away. Perfect for day trips. Fishing wharf just half a mile down the road sells seafood & has a good selection of gift store type merchandise for sale. Fall colors beyond beautiful. Host very helpful. Turns out most people print their vehicle pass for Acadia before their trip. Host suggested printing at local library. Saves time when entering the park. Saw a pair of loons on the bay, osprey nest near Corea, and bald Eagle in Acadia. Only challenge was taking dog on walks. Road is fairly busy. Overall a wonderful spot for experiencing Maine!

Everything we needed was at our fingertips. It is about an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park but was an easy drive. The house could use some updating but was comfortable. The listing said we would receive a gift basket and postcard but there wasn’t one upon our arrival. It is easy to drive by the place so maybe some kind of a marking would have been helpful. All in all, I would recommend this place especially if you like quiet and the peacefulness of the water.

Family had a great time at the rental . House was clean and Jeremy great. Was concerned at first no AC but was fine after first day as was concerned sleeping with windows opened being from NY. Cool ocean breeze and great views. Only downside is proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia but the house makes up for it. Thank you again to Jeremy for making visit great as we look forward all year to time away
