Ein schöner Ort, an dem man die Welt hinter sich lassen kann mit einem tollen Restaurant Karl, aufmerksamen Personal und kleinem aber feinen SPA. Im geschmackvollen Herrenhaus lässt es sich Abends bei einem schönen Cocktail gemütlich sitzen.
Wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer im Seitentrakt, das etwas spärlich beleuchtet (die Zahlenkombination im Schranksafe war nicht zu erkennen) und recht voll möbliert war, so dass es für Koffer und Taschen keinen Stellplatz gab. Dem Schrank fehlten dazu Fächer, so dass man nichts auspacken kann. Leider boten die weichen Kissen keine gute Unterstützung, auch die Matratzen waren für uns zu weich.
Nur ein Fenster hatte Insektengitter, so dass Wände, Decken und Rückwände von einigen Spinnen und Schneidern belegt waren. Das erwartet man von einem hochpreisigen Landhotel dann doch nicht. Die Innenausstattung im Seitentrakt könnte etwas mehr Liebe und Farbe gebrauchen. Es fällt leider gegenüber dem Haupthaus doch etwas zurück.

Die Lage hat uns vervorragend gefallen. Besonders der herrliche Park mit den großen alten Bäumen und der Schwimmplatz am Fluß. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und der Pool und der Saunabereich hat uns immer wieder gelockt.

The hotel promotes itself on having bicycles and cycle routes but does not advertise that the ONLY cycle path is on the other side of a river from the hotel. The only way across the river is a ferry which closes from autumn onwards. On our arrival the ferry had stopped running. This no cycling. Cycling had been our TOP reason for selecting the hotel. Had the hotel made this closure known we would not have stayed there. We feel tricked there under false pretenses and feel a bit cheated.
