The hotel is very charming, with each room given the name of a famous woman (I was in the Marie Curie room) and lots of wonderful travel memorabilia sprinkled around - particularly downstairs in lovely reception room. It has the feel of a traveller's home. And only about 7 minutes away from Place Garibaldi, making it very conveniently situated.
Just that in my room there was no A/C - but that was the exception, as my friends were in other rooms with plenty of it. I think it is just the 2nd floor of the main house which doesn't have it.

Very characterful and charming . Loved the themed rooms . Beds were comfortable . Shower was great. Breakfast was really good value at 12 euros supplement and could be taken in the garden . All staff were friendly and helpful and available 24/7 .
Tram to centre of the city was at bottom of the road so very accessible .
Surprisingly good for a one star hotel .
Rooms are small . There’s no lift but that’s one of the reasons it is rated one star .
Another is that not all rooms have air con . . Friend’s room was suffocatingly hot even with a fan . We were lucky

The hotel is in a wonderful location, very convenient—just 10 minutes from the Old Town, close to the central square, the train and bus stations, a park, and all the places I needed to visit. The room is comfortable and has everything you need for a stay, with a traditionally small bathroom, like in a French hotel. It was exceptionally clean, and the linens were changed every day. The hotel has an artistic design inspired by various famous women. The restaurant is very pleasant. There is plenty of information available. The front desk and staff are very courteous; they explain things, help out, and are friendly. The door is locked at night. The neighborhood is quiet. An iron or hair dryer is available upon request. A wonderful place, and I highly recommend it.
The water pressure and flow were fluctuating, and the temperature kept changing; maybe the problem was temporary and limited to my line, but it was unpleasant.
