it was clean and comfortable. Shower was very good. Bed comfortable. Excellent pool.
All staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was hot and tasty.
our room faced inwards and had little natural light and the room lights did not help in places.
Very long corridors with heavy face door to open.

The room was a bonus as we were given a room with a balcony and sea view. Breakfast was very good and dinner was also good except for the roast potatoes which I think had been made much earlier in the day such that the skins were almost impenetrable!
The last time I was at the Dalmeny dinner was served in the Atrium with table cloths and waiters in smart dress therefore it was a disappointment to have dinner in the basement breakfast area with plastic topped tables. I can understand the costs have to be cut but the surroundings for a nice dinner were not there.

Enjoyed using the swimming pool
Room very dated, walls visible drink splashes ,mattress uncomfortable, over all the hotel needs a bit of tlc,breakfast was hit or miss ,long queues waiting on tables and also at buffet station, staff run ragged due to certain diners leaving a mess where they sat especially families with young children, one family even laughing we've left you a bomb site to clean up acknowledge this is out of the hotels control but highlighting for future guests that like myself paying premium rate to stay and dine here
