The location.

Nothing really but could you communal area could use some refurb.

Perfect location. Room was comfortable. Friendly staff. Definitely would recommend.

Unfortunately we did have an issue with the shower but room did have a bath that we were able to use.

gorgeous old building - a real piece of history. Room was spacious. Mattress was very comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Bathroom and plumbing was old and tired - hot/cold water and water flow was very difficult. Bath was old and peeling paint on outside. Bedroom lighting was not good. TV did not even have mainstream channels and certainly no satellite or ability to cast. Our luxury suite had two giant front-facing bay windows. The room was super hot and we had two very small tower fans in there which did little to nothing. The High Street outside is super noisy at all hours - certainly from check-in until 11pm when pallets were onloading on the cobbles! A shop alarm at 5pm added to the tension! This meant it was hard to leave windows open (plus they are huge sash windows so take some effort) without being drowned out with noise, but with them shut the air was stifling inside. It was not a luxury stay at all. Rest of hotel is OK but tired. No facilities - just an original staircase/corridor and room.
