We love Fremantle and wanted to end our 3 months in Australia with a long stay downtown (8 nights). This place worked very well. Inexpensive, in the heart of restaurants and other bars downtown, short walk to the ferries and museums. Staff was wonderful, whether serving us in our room or in the bar/restaurant. Beds were firm and comfortable, each of us had a good pillow and a crap pillow. Responded very well to cleaning requests, no scheduled cleaning except on check out. Accommodations level were secured. Common use balcony to look over the beer garden behind the hotel. Food was surprisingly good. We'd do this place again.
Bathroom was not very good. Skinny, door opened in and got in your way, drain in the floor could get a bit whiffy. Tiny shelf above a tiny sink for storing toiletries. The shower was bad - wide angle needle spray didn't deliver much water, water temperature was difficult to regulate and water went everywhere. We finally got good at sticking the shower curtain to the walls to keep it from dripping outside, but it was a pain. As they mention, Friday and Saturday nights this is a late night party place. Didn't bother us (they do supply ear plugs, but expect this, they are not kidding. Only place we stayed in Australia that didn't have a fridge in the room, the common fridge in the Tea room was quite small and people had crammed it full of stuff and left it when they checked out. They didn't manage throwing out old stuff very well.

Bed was comfortable and clean.
Noisier than I expected but appreciated the earplugs that were provided. Chairs in room were not very comfortable.
