The room had a great view overlooking the port. You could stand out on the room balcony and capture all the atmosphere.
We enjoyed everything. Emily was very charming, and her knowledge was invaluable to our stay in Porta Marina Ortigia

No lift for lounge, but that was expected with an older building.

Great location on the western side of Ortigia island. You could watch the sunset from the small balcony. Easy walk to restaurants and Ortigia markets and tourist spots.
Room was comfortable and colourfully decorated. There was a mini fridge but it was stocked with wine and drinks for sale so we had to take them out to be able to store milk and water.
The hotel is in the ZTL zone. The hotel sends your hire car details to local authorities so that you can drive to the hotel and drop off luggage before parking the car further out (or you can pay €15-20 to park close.
We didn’t pay for the breakfast and we’re glad because it didn’t look like value for money.
There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. So might be difficult to get luggage up the stairs for some (my husband carried both our bags up 2 flights of stairs).

Really beautiful place lovely old building with loads of character and a lovely view to go with it. Staff were really friendly and Rooms were really clean aswell. Fantastic stay!
