Plough Inn

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who gave us a full, detailed tour of the hotel and pub/bar. After our 2 hour journey he helped my partner with the bags too as he was as heavy as a pack horse. The “Bellingham” room was above expectations in every aspect, it was clean, cosy and the perfect amount of space with the travel cot already assembled. It was also so lovely to see that all the bathroom products were from a company in Cumbria which goes to show that even the smallest details were considered in the hotel. Our service received in the pub for our tea was excellent, staff were helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious and definitely worth every penny spent. The breakfast was delicious, the staff again were so helpful throughout the full duration we were there and I truly couldn’t write a single bad word about our entire stay at the hotel and we would 100% return! We were hoping to stay for an extra night but the hotel was fully booked, which was no surprise as it was amazing!

Good location, large bedroom with a lounge area, lovely bathroom and easy parking.

A little noise from the room above disturbed our sleep.

The property was perfectly located for our stay. The accommodation was very nice and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very nice.

There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom, it must of been the drains. I did inform a member of staff before I left as this needs to be resolved as we had to have all the windows open during g the night, it was that bad.
