You cannot beat the location. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The breakfasts were brilliant. The staff are very energetic and engaging.
Our particular room was above the fire door to the bar toilets, we could hear the door open and close every time someone went to the loo up until gone 11pm. I think the door just needs a bit of tlc as I'm sure all the rooms near us were affected. The staff radios were too loud and we overheard a few staff complaints re hotel guests over the radios and directly from the staff, it's going to happen as some guests will be questionable at best, but they need to keep it from the other guests ears really. Otherwise the staff were brilliant (it was extremely busy to be fair to them too)

Beautiful period property in a great location. Very traditionally run. Staff are exceptional in their service - everyone is friendly, helpful, and professional.
It’s a little pricey considering the rooms themselves are rather basic in amenities, despite their beauty, but it is still worth the cost.

Location was lovely, very atmospheric.
The decor was so disappointing. With a little imagination you could make it so much nicer than the faux medieval look. The food was very mediocre despite the price and a long wait for our main course.
