Location is perfect to access old town without difficulties commuting by car.
The breakfast was lovely.
Cleanliness and overall housekeeping great.

The room was large, fitted with all the things you need, hairdryer, hangers, tv, aircon (thank goodness) the bathroom was modern and a good size. The staff were friendly and communicated with us throughout the trip to tell us about how to get to the property, where to park, when our rooms had been cleaned etc.
The best thing is the location, you are a 30 second walk to one of the main old town high streets and everything else is within a 10 minute walk.
I highly recommend
If you have a hire car, plan ahead. It’s not the fault of the property just the whole area is limited for parking

I left extremely happy with Donna Eleanora Residence. The room was small but very well updated with bathroom and comfy bed. Plenty of amenities for my stay, including small fridge with drinks (for purchase). It was quiet and only a minute (literally!) from the centro of Matera. Plenty of eateries and getting to bus stop and train station was only a 10 minute walk. Building was very secure and the sisters had breakfast (included in stay) ready by 8am usually. Caffe, fresh bread, even pizza was offered! That was a very good unexpected surprise! The communication with the b&b was very good as well. Overall, I would go back to this establishment without hesitation, it was that good! Highly recommended.
The only negative is that my room (for one) was rather small. It was just me so spacing wasn't that much of an issue, but having a bit more space to move around the room would have been perfect stay. I understand that spacing in certain parts of the world is not always the same as one finds in the USA. Not a major issue for me, but keep that in mind if you travel solo.

Good location.
The building was like entering an office block. The pictures as shown on Booking.com I believe are misleading. My room was tiny. The door to my room was a basic sliding cavity door with only a simple latch and I believe not secure enough for a hotel.
