My late check in was efficient with clear instructions.
Bed was super comfy and communal areas were well equipped and cosy.

Facilities are ok, community areas were clean and organised. My bed was clean and comfortable, water pressure in the bathroom is strong, which is a good point. All in all, a good value for money. I'd come back next time as well.
I arrived late on my first night to my room. The ac was not working, there were only fans going in the room. It was super hot, sleeping was nearly impossible. I had to ask for another bed in a room where ac worked, in the next morning. The lady in the reception didn't offer it straight away, and she also wanted to charge me for the original price, but the room with the working ac was a six bed one, and I booked a four bed room. I had to tell her that the prices were different. That wasn't a good experience.

Interior is beautiful, also exterior reflects the traditional buildings in Malta. I was in Penthouse room with private balcony and it was very spacious and minimalistic modern feel.

The hostel is located on a beautiful road and is a beautiful house itself from the outside
Our room was disappointingly in the basement and quite dark. Reception informed us that the terrace door was locked for safety reasons and the terrace couldn’t be accessed from the room.
I wouldn’t recommend to book the 4-bed female or 6-bed mixed room as they’re both in the basement.
The bed was not particularly comfortable as the mattress was very soft. As the bunk bed was quite flimsy it was shaking with every movement (which wakes you up when co-guests in the same bunk bed come home late..).
Curtains for the bed would be a good idea to offer some privacy.
The outdoor space behind the kitchen was basic with some plain chairs and tables but nice for sitting outside during the day. However there was no lighting for the evening. There were no facilities for drying towels or swimwear which would be essential for a beach location.
The bathroom was basic with no storage space at all and only 3 towel hooks for a 4-bed room.
The aircondition in the room could just be operated by the receptionist which meant no more aircondition when their shift ended at 8pm.
All in all this hostelsome is lacking some practicality and atmosphere although there would be good potential for both.
