My understanding is that this used to be a grand hotel/resort. While it is certainly showing it's age and could definitely do with an update/renovation to modernize it, the hotel is clean, the bed was super comfortable, the air-conditioning was capable of arctic temperatures and the shower pressure was great!
While breakfast is included in the accommodation price, and was satisfying and tasty, it was not a buffet but rather a single serve plated meal. This was fine for me, but if you're a little bit fussy or have allergies, you may have some trouble with this?
I did not get an opportunity to check out the pool, it looked lovely from the restaurant.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The towels and bed linen were all clean and so was the bathroom and room.
The location was very quiet, but that's likely because of how far from town it is.
This is not something the hotel can change, so not exactly a criticism, but just something travellers should keep in mind... This hotel is located really close to the airport, so great for proximity to flights. But it is pretty far from Koror's main area, so you will need to pay for the shuttle bus ($10 each way) from the hotel.
The room would feel more spacious if there was only one bed in it rather than 2, but again, this wasn't a huge issue.

You can tell this used to be an excellent hotel in its heyday. I had no complaints about the room—it was actually better than I expected, especially after reading some of the reviews. I booked anyway as I was only back in Palau for one night and had already done all my sightseeing on a previous visit. Because there were very few guests, the restaurant and bar were closed, and breakfast was provided as a takeaway pack that you had to consume in your room. The hotel is close to the airport, though a bit far from the city centre, but they can help arrange taxis into town. It's a great place to relax or if you've hired a car. All the staff were very friendly. The only downside is that you could get stuck without food since it's not close to many dining options. Thankfully, the Globus Mini Mart, about a 3-minute walk to the left when you exit the gate came to my rescue—I bought some instant noodles, and luckily there was hot water in the room. It's about a 20-minute walk to Surangel's Supercenter-Airai (mall), but note that it's closed on Saturdays. One of the pools looked usable, although I didn't swim. I'm not sure about the larger pool or the slides.

It was a lovely hotel near the airport but the diving shops were in Koror. It was about 25 minute drive to dive shops.
