The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring Beijing. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and our experience was good.
The hotel is in urgent need of renovation. The melamine finishes on the furniture were worn and in very poor condition, making the rooms look old and tired. In the bathroom, fresh white silicone had been applied visibly across the brown tiles, an obvious maintenance repair that did not meet the standard expected from a five-star hotel. Having stayed at several five-star hotels in China, I found the condition of this property disappointing. The hotel was comfortable, but it felt dated and somewhat run-down rather than luxurious.

The hotel is close to the central axis attractions and is only a ten minutes walk away from Wangfujing shopping malls.
The facilities were superb and we're in good order. The staff were very friendly and were always willing to help. Also the Wan Li restaurant is worth a shout-out for it's excellent food and service.
The decor is a bit tired with enough signs of wear and tear.
