Sangat Island Dive Resort

Staying at Sangat Island Dive Resort was by far the best island experience we’ve had in the Philippines. My husband, our family members, and I absolutely loved the secluded location, peaceful atmosphere, and authentic island nature vibe. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very accommodating. Every request we made was attended to promptly. The highlight of our stay was definitely the diving experience. Most of us were beginners, but the diving instructors were incredibly patient and took the time to ensure we felt comfortable and confident before diving. We were also amazed by the wildlife on the island. We saw monkeys, hornbill birds, jellyfish, and even stingrays. It felt truly surreal. We especially enjoyed the company of Amber, the island dog, who helped keep the mischievous monkeys away. The meals were delicious and satisfying, with a varied menu and plenty of fresh fruits, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The billiards table and water activities were wonderful additions to our stay. One thing to note is that this resort may not be suitable for guests seeking luxury hotel amenities, as the property prioritizes an eco-friendly and natural island experience. Overall, our stay was unforgettable!

We would love to return in the future, but it would be great if kayaks, snorkeling gear, and masks were complimentary for guests.

The resort is amazingly beautiful and peaceful. Just stunning! Also excellent meals provided.

I stayed five days. The local beach / reef was okay for a day but you really need to book a boat (or a dive) to see amazing reefs & fish. I booked two full day adventures snorkeling and loved it.

We had the most wonderful 4 night stay on Sangat island. The rooms are traditionally built so basic in appearance but spotlessly clean and spacious with good showers and comfortable beds and pillows. The food was really excellent for all meals, as was the service that accompanied it. The island is beautiful, truly felt like paradise surrounded by nature and wildlife ranging from baby rays along the shore line to the resident monkeys. We dived each day. The equipment and boats were of a high standard and the dive masters were great. The dive sites were all excellent with an abundance of marine life as well as the opportunity to explore the WWII wrecks.

We would absolutely recommend and return but would suggest choosing a unit with AC.

All staff are so wonderful. Service and care was top notch. I love snorkelling and my hubby loves monkeys- and Sangat delivered in spades. We went on a half day snorkelling around the island (organised at the resort) and snorkelled a boat wreck, saw an amazing Coral Garden only available to Sangat guests and went in the islands hot spring via kayak which was for a few minutes through the clear water mangroves. We were in the water 20 mins after the tour started! Best tour of our entire trip. Guide and captain were awesome. The resort is unique in being eco but very comfortable. There is a pool table, bars, great food (all meals included). The monkeys were great to see and watch but not annoying (we did not feed them as asked). We aren’t divers but heard good things from other guests. Tepid showers were fine.

We knew that there were no fridges, I do love having one but thats a known thing you can’t have. They do offer ice.
