Newlands Guesthouse is exceptionally well-situated, yet tranquil and felt very safe. There was off-street parking available too. I only stayed for one night, but even the short time there was relaxing and peaceful. Sarah was very kind and welcoming. The room was cosy and had everything I needed: comfortable bed, big mirror, tea and coffee, plug points. Sarah set out a beautiful breakfast table in the morning, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea, rusks, and she also offers a selection of cooked breakfasts too. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The room is spacious, very clean and I liked the decor. The bathroom and shower were very convenient. I enjoyed Sara's home cooked breakfast. She was indeed a friendly host. The guest house was close enough to the city, to avoid the high tide of traffic.
The wall plugs needs a nice service.

the location
I wasn’t able to work out the taps for a hot shower. Didn’t enjoy the long life milk for the coffee.
