The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the basics were fine and it served its purpose for a one night stay.
There was quite a lot of wind coming into the room at night, and we were kept awake by cats fighting in the back garden. There is also very little noise insulation between the rooms, so be prepared to hear your neighbors talking. The parking was on the street rather than at the hotel as we had been told, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, the front staff were not very friendly, and the breakfast didn’t meet our expectations, so we chose to eat elsewhere.

The desk clerk was very helpful in his recommendations. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.

The Hotel is very beautifully designed and decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast of Gallo Pinto.
The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English for the most part. We got a lot of recommendations for activities in Monteverde.
One night I tried to go outside the vicinity to smoke and I noticed the front gate had been locked with no option to open in case of emergency. But in that case one would have still been able to jump the fence, so that is a minor criticism.
Also. I would have appreciated a personal safe in the room, but so far I haven't encountered a lot of those in Costa Rica.
