Delightful stay in a stylish historic hotel in great location in the centre

- Built in 1900, so has very good size room, high ceilings, large window overlooking the harbour, got an upgrade to have this view. - superb breakfast in a stylish dining room - free bikes you can borrow to go for a ride (we went to botanical gardens) - Receptionist very helpful pointing out the best indoor parking garage next door with capped daily rate

Lovely renovated hotel in old part of Stavanger

Excellent location in a nice part of the city. Nicely renovated. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.

Shower tended to flood out into the bathroom. No Aircon. Nightclub on Friday and Saturday night round the corner noisy

The hotel had a fantastic location and the staff was very helpful! They had great recommendations for dinners as well. The included breakfast was delicious breakfast.

No A/C, had to open windows to cool the room off which then made the room a little loud in the evenings and early mornings (the seagulls were loud! :) but the temperature was never too hot

A beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Stavanger’s harbour.

Exceptional service by a highly motivated team at the Hotel Victoria. The room was lovely, the breakfast was fantastic. The decor is very beautiful and the rooms have an excellent view of the harbour as the hotel is situated right on the harbour with the restaurants, museums, old town and fabulous shops just out the front door. I loved staying here!

paying extra for 1,5 hour early check-inn. a room is either ready or not, no need to earn money on it... showers are strange...the whole bathroom gets flooded and if you are not careful it even flows into the bedroom.

Great location and nice staff

The location was amazing. Shelly in the reception was very helpful with questions and also helping out. Room was big enough for one person and the breakfast is good (but not amazing).

Would be great if proper coffee machine is provided so we can get the nice coffee quick rather than the big batch provided. The staff of course provided the nice coffee separately, but that was always after the meal was done!

A lovely hotel with lovely staff. Very comfortable stay, tasty breakfast!

Everything about Hotel Victoria was exceptional. The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to help you. I could not recommend this hotel more highly, we will certainly be back! The free coffee in reception was a lovely added bonus!

Stavanger's superb location

Fantastic location. The hotel staff is very attentive. Breakfast is fantastic.

Very beautiful hotel with a superb customer service

Customer service was absolutely brilliant. Building is beautiful both inside and outside, room was clean and compact. Location is very good.

Only thing which was not so good was locking mechanism of the room's door. Sometimes it was locked, somtimes it wasn't.

Lovely room in a fabulous location. Helpful staff. Ideal place to stay.

Fabulous central location on the edge of the harbour and within easy walk of the shops, cafes and tourism. Very helpful staff. Emma on reception went the extra mile to assist with information and food recommendations. Lovely room and breakfast.

All good. Bar area was closed a fair bit it seemed.

Would stay here again!

Historical building with updated modern amenities & decor. Our room with a sitting area and view of the harbor was excellent, very comfortable bed, warm duvet covers & giant pillows! We slept so good. The breakfast included was also excellent with lots of choices of hot items, meats, cheeses, cereals, cold items, breads/jams, fruits & drinks. I particularly liked the pan of sunny side up eggs vs the scrambled egg option which is common. The location can't be beat, walking distance to all the variety of restaurants & lots and lots of bars, and high end shopping. If you're visiting Stavanger Norway as your base to hike the famous Pulpit Rock or Kjerag like we did, this is the best luxury stay & great value...book it and be done.

On Saturday morning, the day we departed, we found out that breakfast doesn't open until 8:00am vs 7:00am Monday-Friday. Luckily the chef was kind enough to let us grab a few items before they opened.

Stay here in Stavanger, you will not be disappointed

The staff was extremely hospitable. I felt very well taken care of, even with such a short stay. I will recommend to anyone going to Stavanger to stay here and visit the bar, which is lovely, and the bartenders were friendly and engaging.

Perfect location with excellent personnel. Breakfast is good, building is old and with traditions. Gym is small with new equipment.

No desk for computer work.
