Elldus Resort is open about the fact this is not a traditional hotel and with small kids one can appreciate that - roomy well designed apartments (if you select the Fips category), furnished with toys, and everything you could need for the little ones. A selection of playgrounds for kids of all ages, a surprisingly good food selection in the buffet (there were always some healthy choices for the kids) and a large play barn make the stay with little kids really easy. I also appreciated a thoughtful approach to food intolerances and allergies, with great selection of gluten free bread options and separate toaster oven for GF bread.
The value for money is where things start to fall apart a little bit. You can see that the resort is still somewhat in the process of refurbishing. A good example is the children’s spa. It has a lovely sauna, a nice toddler pool with toys. But there are two almost empty rooms in the children spa, that have two rockers, one table and not much else. This area could easily be used better. Similarly the playbarn has a great soft play castle. However there could be a toy area for rainy days for pretend play or other entertainment. I can imagine older siblings would also appreciate some more fun features, such as water slides or even a game room. Lastly, the actual swimming pool is beautiful but small. Nice for splashing around with kids but you won’t get a decent swim. For the cost, I would appreciate the luggage service to be free of charge and the bathrobes being available in the rooms.

Spa area was nice. That resort is definitely for families. As I was there by myself, I was surrounded with families with noisy children, but that is allright.
Resort is really well organized, signs with directions help a lot. Building blocks names funny, mine was Schneke.

Sehr familienfreundlich und sehr gute Ausstattung in der Spielscheune und im Restaurant. Streichelzoo ist super für die Kinder

-Ferienwohnung direkt auf dem Resortgelände, alles fussläufig innerhalb 2 min erreichbar ( Restaurant- Pferdehof/ streichelzoo- spielscheune- Spielplatz- Minigolf- Familienspabereich)
-wir hatten Abendbuffet, war sehr lecker/ gute Qualität
- Personal sehr freundlich
- Gelände sehr sauber
- sehr schöne ruhige Lage direkt am Fichtelberg
- es gibt leider keinen Fahrstuhl zu den Ferienwohnungen
- Wohnzimmer sehr helle Vorhänge, dadurch sehr hell im Raum zum schlafen/ Schlafcouch unbequem
