Close to the CCH if you’re attending a conference. Clean, simple rooms, located on a charming pedestrian boulevard full of restaurants and shops - plenty of wonderful outdoor dining options available steps from your door. Coffee shops are plentiful on the block and open early if you need a caffeine fix in the morning. Proprietors are very responsive to messages on Booking.com and phone.
I was there during a heat wave and there’s no AC in the room that I had, so the room was very warm. However, when I mentioned it, they brought me a fan right away and that helped a lot. Probably wouldn’t be an issue in normal weather for the region.

The location was very good, close to the opera and several restaurants. The room was furnished simply, but everything was clean and the staff were very kind. I found it difficult to enter the building when I arrived as the hotel is upstairs and the door was locked at street level, but staff came down quickly and let me in. There was a small lift which was very welcome.
The room door did not lock automatically when closed, and the keys had to be used inside or outside to lock the door. Once I got used it it, it was no problem.
