the location is excellent, near el-Tahrir square.
the staff is friendly and helpful. Good for price. Recommend for budget travellers who aren't fussed about having luxury accomodation.
the sign is obscure and innacurate so difficult to locate at first. Car noises are incessant 24/7 (but this is expected considering the location).
the front door of the hotel is kept open all night and day so anyone can come in, this is not safe nor secure. A dotard scammer with glasses followed me and starting aggressively banging on my room door and extorted me for money, the staff allowed him to come in when they should have swiftly evicted him from the premises. Hotel needs more stringent security measures to maintain the welfare of guests, stopping scammers from invading our rooms is the bare minimum. This was a very unsavoury experience and occurred on our first night. other than that our stay was nice
Any travellers to the area beware of the fat old man with glasses and a hat who will act friendly but then will extort you. He speaks good English and is talkative but lies as easily as he breathes. He sits on a chair in front of el ezaby pharmacy which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Beware, police should take actions against him.
