The rooftop was an amazing space to be by yourself or socialise. Also made it a lot cooler in the summer heat. The staff there as well were exceptional, professional and very kind.
The single rooms didn’t have any AC, only a fan, so it got a bit stuffy inside, thats it.

Location is amazing, easy to move to other famous areas, a big Shoutout to FADY, friendly and helpful
The fan in the Private room should be changed with a new one, as it’s very old and doesn’t give proper air and Cairo it’s too hot.

The location in bustling downtown Cairo is awesome, right next to endless restaurants and shops and close to Tahrir Square. If you're up to walking around in Cairo, I'd say it's a great place to do so, up through early in the morning. The staff were very friendly and even let me do laundry there (for the same reasonable fee) when I wasn't staying there. Having laundry services really came in handy!
The price is also excellent, especially since breakfast is free, generous, available till noon, and tasty.
AC in the common bedrooms is nice; I would've upgraded to a single room, but they don't have AC.
The views from the rooftop are really nice too!
The whole hostel is sort of open-air except for the rooms, and the bathrooms of course have lockable stalls for the toilets and showers, but you just sort of walk into the sink areas, there's no doors. Also, the common sleeping rooms aren't locked, though there are lockers inside. None of this particularly bothered me, I didn't for instance feel unsafe with my belongings, I left my laptop in my bag on my bed all day once. But it may be worth considering!
I also wouldn't call everything especially clean, not super dirty either, just fine.
Also, if my stay was indicative, be prepared for people to go to bed very late. I went to bed around 11 or midnight and was often the only one there, which was a plus, except of course one time some guys came in very loud at 3 am or so. Just be aware!
Also they sell you water for a relatively steep price (20 or 30 EGP, I got charged differently different times) relative to the shop downstairs (15) or supermarkets (I saw as low as 9).

Staff was very friendly and the rooftop lounge areas were nice
The room was not well maintained. We didn't even try to use the shower. There was water damage on the wall next to the bed and one outlet that did not charge reliability.
