The location was ideal for us, quiet but central

Excellent location. Elegant decor felt like an oasis of calm in central london. Cosy little bar area and delighfull outside seating area. Very polite and helpful staff. We dropped our luggage off pre check in and it was waiting in our rooms when we checked in. Impressive breaskfast included with top quality and varied choices. Would definitely return
Steep staircases and no lift due to period property but this was advised at booking.

Location was great! 24 h reception handy for a late arrival and very early check out. Working aircon ideal in heatwave.
Rooms were a little shabby, cobwebs in corners, windows were bolted shut. Breakfast included in price but was a quite basic continental (pastries and cold meats). Had to request a room clean after leaving the room from 9 am to 5pm and no clean towels and room hadn’t been made up which was disappointing. A few weeks before the stay I had also requested a special token in the room for my partners 40th (i.e a small token like a message on a notepad) but nothing was arranged.
