I loved everything about La Villa.

I loved everything about La Villa. We arrived early in the morning, well before check-in, and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Staff could not be more gracious. Breakfast everday was lovely. The ambiance of the seating area is magical. Room is spacious as well as the bathroom and all is decorated tastefully. Bed is comfortable. Location is perfect.

My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Cozy room, terrible facilities.

The room is very big, cozy, comfortable, adorable. And the balcony is soooo nice. Breakfast also delicious. Pls note there is no parking lot.

The hairdryer is socks, need to hold the button when you use it, and the button already broke that need to find the correct position and push hard. The one room costs me 1w7 rs. This shouldn’t be!!!

Fantastic Restored Fench Mansion house!

This is the place to stay when in Pondicherry! You are right in the heart of the White Town, everything within walking distance. This restored French Mansion is a delight. There are only 6 rooms, so it feels very personal. There is a superb pool on the second floor, and it is open 24 hours! We stayed in the India Song room on the ground floor, and it was superb. Large amd open, with a massive bathroom, and a separate living room. The best thing about this place must be the staff. They are just amazing, and make sure that you have the best stay ever, and make sure you want for nothing. From the very welcoming checkin from Kavitha, and Shantha Raj, to the excellent service provided by the 3 waiters for our meals. These 3 need a special mention, they just made out stay that much extra special! Thank you to Sunil, Maseullah and Jayasheelan! The food! Wow, amazing, delicious, it was fantastic! We liked it so much, we ate here every night. The room had a fully stocked bar, and this was complimentary, which was a nice bonus! Stay here, and you won't be dissapointed. One of the best places we stayed at on our 2 week India trip.

great location and clean rooms but service needs improving for the price

1. the food was great - especially the continental breakfast which had an amazing bread basket 2. the location was really centrally located in the French area of town with lots of the food restaurants and shops close by as well as the beach 3. Minimal clean design and beautiful garden area for eating

1. We complained of a dripping shower on four separate occasions. a plumber needed to be called and it was keeping us up at night to the point I had to wear ear plugs!! Our request wasn’t taken that seriously which when you’re paying this much it should be. Really hope it’s fixed for the next customers. 2. The restaurant had wonderful food but took too many covers at one time and we waited 2.5 hours to receive our main course which we only received after complaining it’s a real shame the above two things would put me off going back as I had wanted to stay at this property for a very long time and it takes quite a lot for me to complain.

Exceptional cosiness, style & service

Immediately after step in gates of La Villa you are engulfed by clean, tidy, welcoming,stylish, authentical-colonial environment. Location of the hotel is probably the best in Pondichery- in the center of French quarter(cleaner, more stylish eating, shopping and coffee places quarter) and within walkable distance from the beach. There are only 6 rooms in the property, therefore you get privacy and for example pool area was only for us :) The food was also great (we had breakfast and dinner there) and the surrounding highly contributes having any dining experience here. The other gem of this boutique hotel is its Personnel: they take extra mile in order to full fill your request and make you feel exceptional. By the way we also stayed 1 night in Villa Shanti and both these locations (La Villa & Villa Shanti) are a little bit different ( to some extent) however both are highly recommended for staying in Pondicherry.

Dreamy villa.

The villa was a beautiful blast from the past. Felt like staying in a part of Pondy's history. The staff was also courteous and served us a very elegant, simple breakfast

Superb

The location of the property is well situated and walkable from the beach, eateries and other interests. The breakfast is very good if you like continental. Killer food and desserts on the menu!

Beds could be a tad better. Please help with parking esp on busy holiday weekends.

One of the best places to stay in Pondi white town

The location was superb. Every cafe was within walking distance! Perfect if you want to live in white town. I like how the pool was open throughout the day and night and surprisingly deep for it to be located on the first floor. Love how the mini bar was free (free or charged in the tariff, altho I would prefer a lesser tariff than a free mini bar). The shampoos and other toiletries were really nice! Loved the balcony in the middle of the room! The staff was excellent and polite and kind. Their breakfast was really nice. They get freshly baked bread from baker's street (not sure, my memory fails me) which is soooooo good.

The ACs need an update but were functional. The shower was huge but didn't have much pressure. It leaked for like hours after. Nothing a plumber can't fix. Didn't get to try the food but the dessert was quite alright. I also wouldn't go to their sister property, Villa Shanti for food cause the food they served was stodgy and felt like it had been kept out for some time and forgotten to be served. But again, all these things are pretty minor.

Room was good

A stone cutter shop adjoining the property creates a lot of noise and difficult to work in the room day time. Food choices limited in the restaurant. Front desk staff needs more training. Higher Room tariff does not justify the limited value the property offers. Property lacks fitness center and outsourcing of spa services is poor

Extremely courteous staff and very good service . The breakfast spread was marvelous.

I was so well cared for in a beautiful heritage home by an excellent team -- I'll definitely return

The team was incredibly kind and professional. My room, the pool, and the courtyard were lovely and the food delicious. The team arranged an excellent walking tour for me with Yuvaraj, who was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. An all-around excellent stay.

i was given a room on the ground floor even though i had booked a room on the first floor. not a lot of variety for breakfast either.

Fantastic stay even though we were there only for one day/ night . The ambiance was too good , even the dining area open space with lot of greenery . We have enjoyed .

Suggest if you can add , multi cuisine menu . Parking facility would be an added advantage .

Exceptional

Beautiful place. Very helpful staff. And the location is perfect. But by far, the best thing about this property is their service - they went out of their way to make me comfortable and feel safe and secure as a solo female traveller.
