It was a nice homely atmosphere.

The breakfast was a basic set menu. Worked with the children in the group so that one meal was sorted.

MOST MEMORABLE AND ENJOYABLE STAY!

The property was immaculately maintained and aesthetically stunning. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished and the bed was exceptionally comfortable (it is so rare to find a mattress and pillows that are just right!). We ended up having ALL our meals at Villa Shanti itself because the food was absolutely brilliant. Our favorites (which we repeated) were the Fish Rillette, beef tenderloin and tandoori prawns with the incredible yellow dal. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and prompt and the massage organization in our room was fabulous. Everything from the scooter for transportation to the cab for the airport was efficiently scheduled. Can't wait to return!!!!! Merci beaucoup!!!!!

Will recomend the hotel to my friends and will come back to Villa Shanti again.

The staff was extremely kind. They went out of their way to please us and to give us a twin room which we had forgotten to ask. They were indeed very very professional.

Better to avoid the "standard room"

The restaurant is excellent, good menu and very good quality. Staff very kind.

I booked a "standard room" thinking it was a standard room. In the description it is not written that the standard rooms are on the ground floor but, much more important, it is not written that the door and the window are opening directly on the restaurant of the hotel. So impossible to open the window, and room very noisy during the restaurant activity. In my opinion it is not acceptable, in a hotel of this level, to propose a room of this kind without explaining the real situation.

Gem of a place in the heart of Pondicherry tourist area.

Fantastic location, walking distance from Mother's Ashram, promenade, shops, cafes and restaurants. Very spacious rooms. Amazing breakfast and other dining options. The staff are very sincere and polite.

Overall a great stay, in the heart of the city, Whitetown and accessible to all great eateries

Excellent and well prepared food made the stay wonderful. The choice of food and prepeartion is indeed a foodies delight. The restauarant evening dinner is an experience and suggested for every visitor to Puducherry.

The breakfast needs to be enhanced a bit specially when one only tends to be living there.

Nice hotel, poor ac, average food and zero parking

Good staff and nicely made rooms

Air conditioner couldn't handle the heat. Was very uncomfortable. Food was average. While it is not the hotels fault, there is absolutely no parking around. Was inconvenient even to get out of the car with bags, especially with all the bikes from the bank across the road clogging the road
