It was a delightful family getaway.

Iabsolutely loved it! The location was fantastic, and the villa itself was charming and private

While our stay at the old villa was delightful overall, there were a few areas that could benefit from improvement. Some aspects, such as the bathroom fixtures and certain elements of the decor, could use upgrading. Additionally, the villa would greatly benefit from a renovation to bring it up to modern standards. However, despite these minor shortcomings, the villa possesses great potential due to its historical charm and unique character

Pleasant enough but needs a thorough clean

A nice comfy bed. The cottage was roomy with pretty decor.

The place really needs a good clean including the crockery and the rotten windowsill in the bedroom. Some windows don't open or need to be held open because of broken sashes - there was a lot of condensation in the morning.

Comfortable, attractive, house with an interesting history, set in quiet and attractive surroundings

A lovely, characterful, historic property in a quiet location not far from the town centre. Very good facilities. Much enjoyed our all-too-brief stay.

Stunning clean cosy cottage with great garden

Stunning cosy cottage with lovely little touches, great outside area, very close to town, private, 4 free bikes were a great bonus and easy owners.

Love the cottage but needs a revamp . warranted what we paid for it !

Even that a note was left lawns very long and unkempt . Cottage gorgeous but very tired in places . curtains ripped, bathroom needs revamp . fridge had mould in it .

Relaxing and beautiful

It was perfect for two adults, two kids. Cosy, clean, great heating facility great space. There was a ball outside that the kids kicked around for hours. Walking distance to town. Great vibe!

quaint little cottage. good location and gas fire was great. very clean and tidy.

A beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Didn't do any cooking as Martinborough has so many dining options available. We laughed at the DVD's on offer but played cards instead of watching a movie. Great folder with info about cottage

Us three ladies coped with shower over bath easily but wouldn't be ideal for an elderly person

Wouldn't recommend it to friends.

Nil for breakfast. Loved the house.

There was no breakfast, milk, not even real fruit. Coffee that had been opened( how long for) and tomato sauce in the fridge. Thank heavens for my daughter from London we have travelled the world. So always pack things. Mirror in bathroom needs a clean. I know it was my fault not to have read the information about shower over bath. A lot of people I know have knee or hip replacements.

Great spot with safe parking & bike storage

Excellent off street parking and there was a lockable shed for our bikes, which was an added bonus. The property owners permitted us to drop our car off a day before our arrival, which helped hugely with our trip logistics and was most appreciated.

Delightful cottage but a few disappointments.

Great location, comfy beds, charming cottage, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space, character furniture.

Dirty oven, dirty toaster, tide mark around bath. No tea towel, hand towel or oven glove, part used packs of food in cupboards and freezer that looked like they were left by previous guests, no milk. Shower hose is black with mould and could easily be replaced, seals on glass screen are orange with mould and need cleaning or replacing. Torn curtains in lounge and bedroom made rooms look scruffy. We were disappointed with the poor standard of cleaning especially things like the toaster full of crumbs and finger smudges of sauce(?) on the outside. Bath not cleaned. However, we did love the dear old cottage.

The Vicarage is a beautiful old property. The hosts provide an extensive good DVD collection . The use of bicycles was an added Bonus. We would highly recommend. A joy to get to stay somewhere like this.

A lovely home away from home where we were able to relax and unwind. Would definitely stay again

Lovely spacious villa home with great facilities and extensive DVD collection Hosts were very responsive when we had an issue with the washing machine

It was very hot while we’re staying and some of the old sash windows were not easy to keep open, and therefore no adequate ventilation

This property is advertised on Bookings as having two bathrooms. This was one of the main reasons for choosing it. However, it only has one bathroom.

Very comfortable and relaxing.

Loved the location. It was walkable to town and was very quiet. The kitchen facilities were great and the bed was very comfortable. Fortunately the weather didn't prevent us doing all the outdoor activities we had planned so we didn't have time to make use of the amazing collection of DVDs on offer!!

Didn't find anything we didn't like.
