The Lion Gate Mews

We had the pleasure of staying at the Lions Gate Mews accommodation last week, as a family of four adults. It was the perfect base for our trip to Central London. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The secure car parking was a huge bonus, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. Being just a short walk from the train station meant we could easily travel into London and back without the hassle of driving into the city. The accommodation itself was absolutely pristine, incredibly spacious, beautifully presented, and provided everything we could possibly have needed for a holiday or short break. It genuinely felt like a home away from home. The setting was simply beautiful too. One of our favourite things was sitting on the sofa in the living room and looking across the road to see the deer — such a lovely and unexpected sight! Our only other regret is that we didn’t manage to visit the café across the road, which looked absolutely gorgeous. We will certainly stay again and happily recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, spacious and convenient place to stay. Thank you very much.

If we were to make one small recommendation, particularly for families /groups staying for a longer period, it would be that an additional small sofa in the living room would have been ideal. However, this in no way took away from our experience or our enjoyment of the accommodation.

This is our go to place to stay for Hampton Court Palace visits. Fantastic location right on the door step of the palace so great for visits, also excellent transport links into London and surrounding areas as the train station is only a short walk. The on site parking is great too. The property is always spotlessly clean, well maintained and managed. Great to have the associated Cafe across the road offering a discount for staying guests, and Bushy park right on the doorstep for those more energetic guests wanting a run or leisurely walk amongst the beautiful resident deer. A short walk down the road gives you access to a plethora of Cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. I can highly recommend The Mute Swan, food, service and atmosphere are fantastic, but I would suggesting booking a table as each time we have been it has been extremely busy!

The only thing I would highlight is to be careful of the hot water in the kitchen when washing up as it is absolutely scalding hot, not a bad thing if wanting to wash dishes, but something to be mindful of.

Location is excellent especially for visiting Hampton Court. The appartments are quite large & modern & the owner was very accommodating & helpful on our arrival.
