Lovely welcoming accommodation in a great location!

Excellent location. Lovely owner, very welcoming, plays the piano beautifully! Very nice breakfast available for a small extra charge.

Ok, but not recommended

The location was perfect and I was received well by Jose.

The room was on the top floor, so the roof in the bathroom was very low. I am 170 cm and could barely stand under the shower. The bathroom was also extremly small. I noticed that they actually seemed to wash the towels and bedlinen themselves. It would be more appropriate to use a professional laundry service to secure the hygiene.

Mixed emotions because we love Jose.

We really enjoyed Jose and his hospitality we wanted to hear him play piano, however we decided to go out to dinner. The location of this place is amazing and a quick walk to the castle, church and several establishments.

Unfortunately, we were expecting two twins he asked if we’d be ok with sharing what looked like a queen bed. We said it was ok. However, once we went to bed the main mattress was smaller than the box spring, so it was a smaller bed for to big boned American women. We also couldn’t use the bathroom on our floor because of some issue however other guests were allowed to. Over all we’d say here again but request our separate beds.

Nice place to stay on the Camino

right near the beach and town. Staff very nice and helpful.

Exceptional

The host, Jose is very friendly, helpful, kind and proactive. He made our stay very comfortable and made good recommendations for dinner and packed lunch for our camino. The room is neat and clean. Location is very convenient to shops and eateries. Would highly recommend this value-for-money accommodation.

An exceptionally well located establishment with very friendly and helpful hosts.

If you are a little tall the bathroom on the top floor is small, so ask ahead if height is an issue.

Superb

Great location on waterfront in front of yacht club. Jose was great proprietor, he played the piano, prepared breakfast and recommended Alfredos seafood bar which was fantastic. This building is a B&B. The town and waterfront is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Shared bathroom. The building has a few maintenance issues and is quirky, but this is more than offset by character.

Friendly accommodation on the seafront. Beautiful view of the castle from our window. Warm welcome received. We didn't have breakfast as we needed to leave early in the morning. A safe place to park our bicycles was made available during our stay

They went above and beyond!!!

Service exceeded expectations!!! Beautiful view and amazing location!!! We were Pilgrims on the Camino and left our hiking poles. They sent them with Correos same day!!!

great host, very kind and helpful, great location, rooms a little ‘tired’

we loved listening to Jose play the piano. we loved the location & the view.

the upstairs bathroom was a challenge for tallish people.

This was an amazing find and a perfect balance of location, amenities and care.

very well kept and clean. Lovely place …charming and welcoming. location could not be better being right on the beach. our hostess was amazing and caring, went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and more! even offered apples for the road in the morning.

the location was perfect but it is right on the boardwalk and will be noisy at times.

excellent location, helpful hosts.

communication could have been better. I had advised them we needed to have 2 ebikes stored and charged but it came as a surprise to them, however, they did accommodate as best they could at an extra charge.

Lovely sea view, great location, very central. place was very clean and cosy. The host was very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely stay with perfect location

Amazing host and perfect location in Castro Urdiales. Nice breakfast, we were able to wash our clothes there and the house was just lovely.

The only problem for me personally was that the bathroom was rather small and entrance to one of the rooms was too tiny. So I had to bend over everytime I entered the room and when I was taking a shower.

Great location overlooking the harbour

Breakfast was offered as an extra and was poor value at €10 for two. Given two slices of white bread and told that was all they had. As we left the other couple staying were provided with proper crusty bread. Poor lighting in bedroom

The location direct at the road at the and with view onto the waterfront is great, the pension like the name says a nice old villa and the people working there very friendly and helpful - thank for the nice stay

The scenic church up the little peninsula was closed when we were there, better check out the opening hours before
