Affordable, easy to find, not far from centre, clean, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing - I was in a single room at a gable-end, and it was a masterpiece of compact design, particularly the en-suite. Smart kitchen and dining room.
Took a while to suss out how to get a fair temperature in the en-suite shower; courtyard out the back was in need of some TLC

The room I had was in the attic, which meant a lot of stairs to climb, but it was worth it! The room was small but perfectly formed - armchair, comfy bed, TV, en suite shower with toilet and hand basin, all perfectly clean. On the ground floor was a fully functional kitchen - fridge/freezer, washing machine, full sized cooker with hob - all of which is for the residents' use. There's also a very comfortable conservatory/lounge, and a small courtyard garden with table and chairs. All in all exceptionally clean and well maintained. There's a bus stop almost directly outside, with regular buses to Oxford town centre.
My only slight problem was the stairs - though obviously this can't be changed. (I am an OAP with slightly dodgy knees, so the stairs were a bit of a nuisance!)

Cheap, room was a decent size and clean
My room was at the front and the bed was close to the window. The traffic and pedestrian noise was noticeable throughout the night. Had I’d known I would have asked for a room at the back of the property.
