About this house rental

Located in Clear Lake, this charming house for $425 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Spacious A-frame completely renovated Spring of 2020.. All new kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, paint and appliances. Lakefront house with views of the water from 3 of the 5 bedrooms. Fantastic 180 degree lake views from the spacious deck or lakefront lawn. Sleeps 10: Main large house has 5 very large bedrooms and two bathrooms. An optional unit (for additional fee, please ask us for details) sleeps 4 (two queen beds), has its own deck, bathroom and full kitchen and refrigerator. This is a studio size unit, with an open loft above the main floor with the second bed in the loft. A great add on to the rental for in-laws, teenagers, or people you just don't want to be around! We offer the option of renting the additional small A Frame companion unit in conjunction with the Main House for an additional $125/night. See the pictures and room descriptions for more information. We only rent this unit as part of a two house rental. We do not rent them separately on the same dates to different groups. The Large house main floor has two large bedrooms (king and queen beds), full bath, and a large open great room combining kitchen, dining area and living room with full floor to ceiling windows to take in the views. There is a spacious sleeping loft with TV and King Bed and a Twin bed that also enjoys lake views. Wood fireplace and propane ground floor fireplace make it cozy in the winter months. Ground floor has a large bedroom (queen bed), as well as another long dormer bedroom that has a Trundle bed (sleeps two), as well as two more single beds. This room is great for children or teenagers. The ground floor has its own newly remodeled bathroom. There is a full laundry facility in the separate utility room on the ground floor. There is a boat ramp with access to the water but no boat pier or dock. There is a chained, anchored mooring buoy in the water in front of the house, as well as a single piling to tie up to. We recommend easily pulling your boat on to the trailer on the boat ramp in the evening. This vacation home has been well loved for many years as a family gathering place during both the winter and summer months. It is the perfect place to bring your family to rest, relax, swim and watch the waterfowl, spectacular sunsets and sunrises or to just sit out on the spacious lawn in the sunshine! Great mountain biking and scenic walks right out the back door. Multiple excellent wineries are around the lake and within an easy 30 minute drive at the most. We communicate and expect rules in terms of occupancy and pets to be followed. Pets are welcome only by pre-approval.

The home was clean and fit our family of 7 needing 5 bedrooms and there was space for more. Everything was labeled so there was no guess work and the owner checked in, making sure we were comfortable. Our family rents a home every Christmas and my 83 year old Dad and my son’s girlfriend said this was their favorite stay. We all enjoyed ourselves and I loved being able to see the birds, ducks and an otter( I think) right below the property. I recommend this stay and you’ll have relaxation with privacy.

Jim was in constant communication the whole time during our stay. Everything was as described and both house was clean. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies to cook a few meals at a time. The heaters works well and was used as it was cold both nights. The private boat ramp was awesome and accommodating for my boat and kayak. The location produced big catfish for all the kids to catch and release. The views from the top porch was beautiful and peaceful at night. Both neighbors were not there during our stay and the property felt secluded and peaceful. We will rent both houses again in the near future.

The property is clean and spacious. It is in a pretty isolated area and our stay was relaxing and quiet. The house has everything you need (towels, fully equipped kitchen and is kid friendly). Jim is a great host and I would book again!

I was very pleased with our stay, and will definitely be returning in the future. It was nice having the boat launch on the property so we didn’t have to drive multiple times into town to fish.

I will start off by saying we had the pleasure of having a great host Jim. He communicated very well was very polite and honestly just a super host. He was one call or text away from any question we may have had and we appreciated that more then ever. We rented the big home and the little one and they were both very clean and cozy. But let me tell you the view we had was amazzzing! We had a great time, relaxed in the hot tub with the view of a million dollars. We hope to be back here at Jim’s beautiful property for some fishing! Thank you for being an amazing host and allowing us to rent your homes!

Very nice stay. All the amenities that we needed were there and we really didn’t need anything. The drive down to the property was a little difficult and I would not imagine trying to drive when it’s wet. Parts of the road have deteriorated from water runoff. None of this is a reflection on the quality of the property. This is a getaway type of property. It was not on the main road and very secluded. Every part of the house was usable and serve the purpose for our large group. We had 7 adults and 7 children and used both houses. We felt very safe and it felt like we were Glamping. High marks for kitchen. Probably my only issue was there were a lot of bugs at night to the point that you couldn’t even stay outside after dark on the main deck. Second is every night some type of rodent would get on the tables and leave behind tons of droppings.

This property is newly remodeled and is amazing for family and friends. We were there for the off season and this may be why there were more spider webs than usual. Other than that, the view is gorgeous, the remodel made this vacation home amazing, and the house layout is perfect for entertainment.

We had a wonderful stay at Jim’s house! It was perfect for our group and even had a crib for our baby. The view is beautiful and the hot tub was a treat- it was clean and hot! The layout of the house was great and the kitchen was well stocked. There’s not much to do directly around this area, but that’s why we chose it. The neighbors were friendly and we enjoyed their dogs roaming around the yard and playing with our toddlers! This is a perfect place if you’re looking to do nothing and enjoy each others company!

Twin Peaks is a lovely place for a peaceful retreat. The house was spacious and well equipped for our group of adults and baby. Even though the weather did not cooperate on our trip, we enjoyed staying inside the home. The wood burning stove made it very cozy and we had fun using the bellows. Jim gave us very detailed instructions on how to use the many amenities of the house. There is a lot to enjoy at this house!

This was a fantastic house for our 5 day vacation to Clearlake. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with every item we needed, and the views are outstanding. We had two families sharing the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. Jim was always quick to respond and great to work with. Highly recommend!

The property owner Jim is really great to rent from. He is timely in his online responses and is readily available during the stay via the phone. Property is right on the water with clear, beautiful, unobstructed views. The house is gorgeous and recently renovated. Everything is new or relatively new and works great! The views from the kitchen/living room and upper loft are stunning! There is a hot tub that looks out to the water, and a hammock that each of us took a nap in! We will absolutely be back to rent this house again, it is a gem and worth the time, money and effort to get there!

We had the best time staying at this home on the lake with sweeping views and an amazing deck to have coffee at in the morning and a glass of wine at night. The kids loved having the river right there in front of the house and would go between the lake water and the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable and the house is even more beautiful in person. Jim is a wonderful communicator and was very accommodating either texting or calling back within minutes if we had any questions. We will be back!

This place exceed our expectations!!! The views were amazing and loved hearing the sounds of the waves at night. We enjoyed the property and home. Very family friendly. The home owner greeted us when we arrived and showed us all the little important things of the house. There is also a wonderful binder to help remind you of everything. They also took the time and pay attention to the details to tell you in thw binder places to go, things to do and see. This is a place that we all agreed we would want to stay at again. Very homey and family friendly!!!

Stayed here for a quiet couple’s getaway. House was amazing and a wonderful place to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Kitchen was an excellent place to make meals and the lake view made for a picture perfect dining experience. It’s very peaceful and quiet so it makes for a lovely spot to unwind. Plus there’s nearby roads that make for great spots to get out and go for a walk. Property owners were great people and very kind. I would gladly recommend this spot to anyone.

We had a great time getting away from the city. The house was deceptively big and had more room than we anticipated. There was plenty of wildlife around and what looks like a great fishing spots right in front. We saw an otter, bald eagles and hawks from the jacuzzi. We would love to come back and stay for a little longer and perhaps rent the second home with a larger group. This is a great place for a large-ish family to gather. The only downside is the sharp turn down the gravel road to the property but it's well worth the stay. Thanks Jim for being such a gracious host.

Twin Peaks is a great place to stay on Clearlake. The view is beautiful! House was very clean and everything was in working order. Jim met us there, showed us around and how everything worked and was on his way. We had a fun, relaxing girls weekend. We will stay here again.

Our group of 4 had a great time staying at this home on the lake. Everything is very clean and feels quite cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and bbq grill. The only thing to note is the internet (satellite) isn't that fast.
