Friendly staff - fantastic food - great location for going over the pass to Ushguli.
Plenty of space to dry off hiking gear - shower with very good water pressure.
Nice family atmosphere - small community, everybody knew each other - plenty of smiles - very welcoming

Good base if you want to do the Lagem Pass. 10/10 because it was every bit exceptional. The toilets although shared were spotless and always dry. The old grandmother was so caring and even put my wet shoes on top of the heater to dry it. The room was clean and the male host speaks good English.
I had asked if I could get hot water at 530am as I wanted to start Lagem Pass at 6am and they were so kind to oblige. Thank you!
The stairs are kinda steep like what other reviewers mentioned but it adds to the charm of the house.

Great location/views over the valley. A quirky house but very comfortable bed and the shower downstairs was insanely good - best pressure and temperature of any we experienced on the hike. Breakfast and dinner were tasty, a bit more expensive than elsewhere. Delicious coffee (plunger, not instant!)

The room was simple but clean, and the thick blankets were great for the chilly nights. The shared bathroom was warm, and the warm shower was very welcome after a long hike. it was vegetarian-friendly and fine for one night. A good option if you’re about to go to Ushguli the next day by crossing the Langem pass.
If going to Ushguli via Iprali I recommend to look for another stay in the following villages.
Quite expensive food compared to other guesthouses, especially for the quality of the food - the bread was dry, in some dishes we experienced small stones, the eggs were cold. Also, the Wi-Fi barely worked. I would have wished for a warm room to sit before dinner after temperatures declined later in the day.
