I have been visiting Aquacity in Poprad for over 20 years and I highly recommend it. The hotel itself has good staff and general amenities.
If you are staying at the hotel you are able to use the facilities of the park and wellness centre after you check in and the following day. Both are worth spending time in with everything from slides for children to relaxing saunas for adults.
The food for both dinner and breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice and some genuinely well prepared dishes.
The amount of space you get with the mountain view rooms is decent and the bathrooms are really lovely.
Unfortunately the mountain view rooms are beginning to look tired (see photos).
Even when they were first constructed they had a few flaws like the dreadful curtain system (which is why they are ripped in every room). However, originally they looked good when new and an update to the old ones. Now they need a bit of a make over again.
There is no air conditioning so when it is hot you have to have the balcony door open all night. This means you can't use lights inside the room (insects) and the trains start around 4,30 and are loud.
In the aquapark itself the level of noise seems to increase each year with DJs, dancing sessions and constant music. Probably fine for younger people or going on slides, but not so good for relaxing in the warm pools the wellness part did not open until 2pm so there is no escape until then.
It was very busy and we were unlucky enough to have a period of lightening so everyone was moved inside for safety. Many of the inside bars/food facilities were not staffed so it took 45 minutes to get a coffee

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly. Food was lovely and the spa and pool were bliss.
The views in the morning were incredible.
We will be returning for sure

There were many swimming pools to choose from. Free Parking available.
Access to and around the hotel was difficult. Dark corridors, poor signposting, getting access to the outside area wasn't easy, air-conditioning in the hotel was turned off for hot evenings, the water park wasn't fully open until the weekend.
