Hotel very close to Expo. I recomend

The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable

The hidden charges for breakfasts weren't nice. it would have been nice to be told they were being added to a check out bill

Convenient location and good value for money.

Breakfast was a little basic, and heating I the room (water and radiators) did not work properly.

Friendly, flexible staff in an old-style "Pension". The furniture is so old it is almost cool and vintage, which I liked a lot. Everything was very functional, convienitent for public transport and the fair grounds, cool restaurants close by.

It is definitely not very hip or stylish, and it isn´t trying to be - just simple, clean and convienient accomodation. There is a big road outside the window.

staff was indeed more than nice, very welcoming and at my assistance at any time! i especially liked how they surprised me with some small gifts one night, which was a kind gesture!

so the hotel is quite old and it would hurt to renovate it - not only a little. on the other hand one must say that it's just very authentic....

Location

We booked a regular double-bed room. Upon arrival on April 30th, we were told, we could not stay in that room (supposedly due to water damage) and were given this choice: no room at all or a smaller room with a single bed and extra bed put in the middle of that tiny room, in exchange of 25€ discount. Too late to say no or to pay last minute for another hotel, as we were in town for a night/event (Mayday). 1 month later, several emails sent both in German and in English and several phone calls that hung up immediately as soon as the discount is mentioned, no money has been sent back/discount not received. They are just fraud.
